  • so where did you get the power chords from?

  • @psychorockz123 I can't remember really well where did I learn power chords, maybe my guitar teacher taught me that, but I think they just come out by playing this kind of songs as well.

  • so are you using the same power chords which you used in the intro?

  • @psychorockz123 Yes, 'cause those are power chords

  • hey thans a lot! but i donno which are the basic power ch0rds. could you tell me which all you think i should know to play almost all songs. where did you learn em from?

some poeple on you tube say taht you need to hold it like that!, others say like this! i donno wat to do! could you tle which site you learn em from. im gettin te pacficia 112v! hooray! plz reply! :D

  • @psychorockz123 Justinguitar teaches really good, he has some power chords lessons, you should check them out: watch?v=trf80-R41X8

  • @psychorockz123 Barre chords are realy useful, but if you wanna play rock or with distortion the barre chords doesn't sound as powerful as the fifths. I hope you are not confusing barre chords with fifths.

I learnt fifths by playing green day songs, those were one of the first things I learned, and they aren't hard to play. There are a plenty of videos here on youtube that teach you fifth chords, they are mosly known as power chords, just put that on the search box and you'll know what I mean.

  • wat? barre chords are not useful? omg! im tryin t o study all the barre chords thinkin that it wud help me play all rocks songs! lyk greenday and boys like girls!! crap!! waht are fifths?? but when i look its te same as barre chords ryte? omg! all that i studied is a waste! so where do i leearn fifth chords? where did u?

  • hey long have you been playing the guitar? if we know all the barre chords can we do all rock songs?? lyk this 1

  • @psychorockz123 I've been playing for 3 years and a half.

Not all the rock songs use barre chords, they use mostly fifths, like this song, I didn't play barre chords in this song. Barre chords are mostly used in acoustic, jazz songs and other genres and work best with a clean tone, so knowing barre chords it's not really useful for rock songs or songs that use distortion, but they are harder than the fifths when you're learning them. They are good to learn anyway, they help you a lot ;)
