Don't know, for me it seems like a perfect example of a lot of know how on the technical side (animations) but no idea about storytelling. The movie seems undecided between being funny and serious... I think the message behind this video is to stay calm and not to let your feelings cloud your judgment. By giving into his feelings (boredom), the second soldier took out the Sarge's antenna, played around with it and made the Sarge snap, making them think they were under attack. Then the youngest one let his feelings (fear) take over and shot the first round, causing everyone to go all out.

That this has seemingly happened at least 3 times means they need to get their feelings under control.

Although worse than this piece in terms of animation ("hand made" vs. CGI) yet much better in its impression. At least from my point of view...

But nooo they saw him as a brilliant commander and a threat. So they declared war on HIM. And they wouldn't just go alone. They would gang up on him. Always have him double teamed. And you call French cowards. Yet The Grand Armee was able to defeat them almost EVERY TIME. Eventually the wrong invasion of Russia was his downfall.

@jurijeuropa In case you don't know EVERYONE loses in war. You forget the extent of casualties in World War 1. Do you think this is a videogame? Men respawn? NO they die and it takes 20 more years to make a new one. The French lost so many men in WW1 due to the endless days in the trenches that come WW2 they could only build defenses on the east side of France. It is said that the French were technically equal to the Germans but they couldn't commit as many troops.

Take Austerlitz for example, Austria and Russia vs Napoleon. Vastly outnumbered. Still he won a glorious victory. Funny how you never mention the victories. Every nation as some embarrassing defeats. (Easy for you to criticize France for surrendering when they were RIGHT next to Germany and getting invaded.)

The British could have lost at Waterloo but one of the Generals that Napoleon had hired to chase down the Prussians that were routed earlier failed and the Prussians regrouped and helped the British at the right time.
