I owna Bo-staff and I do not use it the same way kareteka use it, but I can attest to anyone how hard it is to transition 180 degrees and maintain control of the staff itself.
It really takes serious time to program the mind to adjust to forward and reverse spinning.
Looks easy... that's about it; for the average person.
Prescott Valley, AZ? Awesome! I go up there a lot. :)
Anyways, great vid, definitely helpful. I'm not quite high enough ranked in karate yet to study Bo yet, but I'm high enough in my Shaolin kung fu class to study Jo, so I'm definitely going to try this with that. Thanks! :D
@Mrbasketballer76 theres a few dudes in my dojo in their 40's +. besides it keeps you fit so if anything the older you are the more incentive to join up.
@Mrbasketballer76 I study both karate and kung fu and in my kung fu class we have a 78-year-old man who just started last year. So, nope, you're never too old for martial arts. :)
