even in the 1st episode the startings of a rivarly was brewing. remember when they were in the pit & that guy chip st charles was checking out denise and whitley knew he was checking her out only for him to ask denise to dance! lol. & lets not forget that whitley ratted denise out to dorm monitor jalessa about the pizza box and she had to wear that pig nose(funny episode). & also when they were in debate class when keenan ivory was their teacher. i was an avid adw fan.

I just did not care for the way she acted towards Whitley. I also can not totally agree with you saying they competed against each other. Maybe the episode when they were Eve Girl and Eve Woman but even then they were not competing. But anyway, enough debate lol

Denise was a b*tch in season 1 whenever it came to Whitley. I know Whitley's character took a turn for the better in season 2 but Denise was a b*tch. They even carried it on to this episode. Look at 04:13. Makes me want to jump through the screen and punch Densie. Especially 04:25-04:32 !!!! UGH She did not have to act like that. #TeamWhitley

@asupriz acutally denise wasn't being a b*&#ch to whitley, they keep the storyline where the two of them didn't care for each other. you see the whitley trying to compete with denise alot in the 1st season. so im glad they stayed with it because if they behaved like buddies then true a different world fans would have noticed. i always liked thier little rivarly. it would've been interesting if denise had stayed on. she would have been time enough for whitley!
