In relation to reaction, there is a saying of "yeah, he's big and strong but I'd just hit him and run away"...errrm no you wouldn't!
if you just wanna train with squats and deadlifts then you gotta do some plyos for the explosive part to improve your vert. if you would do just the strength stuff you wouldnt gain that much. squats and deadlifts for your strength and plyos are for the reactive strength

1) toporov 1st attempt was 303lbs not his third, he attempted 314lbs for 2nd & 3rd attempts but missed
2) Naims first attempt was 319lbs not the 331lbs (150.5kg) displayed in the video.
3) In 1992, he started CJK whilst at least one other lifter still had a further attempt
