He is a backing singer and we already have a guitarist. granted he talks the most in interviews but contributes the least to the band image which is one of the most important things. im not trying to say he isnt a worthy brother. he contributes equal or less than the other brothers...there is no favoritism here.

If kevin wasn't in it, they wouldn't have a lot of the songs, because kevin has written quite a few, and a lot of the ideas to put into songs (such as love bug) come from kevin. And you need more than one guitar in most cases for a song, and with nick doing half of the lead vocals, he can't play the harder guitar riffs and solos that kevin plays.
