I remember this game, it was the shit. Me and my cousin were like "Wouldn't it be funny if he hit a homerun?" we were ecstatic... I love the Royals no matter how terrible they were.

I was at the game, my dad tried to talk me into leaving after the 8th inning, but i told him that we would win. And we did. My brother said that people were honking their horns on ward parkway after beltrans homer.

That was the best ending to an opening day ever!!! I never screamed so much as that day and i hated everyone who was leaviong early!! I wonder if anyone has footage of the Beltran homer that ended it??
