In some of the scenes there when they are not going so fast, but faster than normal. It would be good when the Daleks chased someone, that they went that fast! Then they would be REALLY scary! Good Vid. Made me giggle.!
That belief, I.M.H.O., sounds similar to the theory that putting a continuous teletype sound over the most trivial piffle of "news" coverage automatically gives that radio news operation instant credibility, integrity and respectability.
I loved this. Before I read the comments the double speed immediately reminded me of the classic Benny Hill theme. Oh and whereabouts did that Dalek stick his weapon on that blonde doc?
@KingFahtah It was done originally by Boots Randolph 1963 and by many others over the years. But it was the Benny Hill Show version that was played a bit different and I think done much better, by the Ronnie Aldrich band. Benny Hill for sure made it known world wide. The 1970's Benny Hill Show Yakety Sax were by far the best versions.
Respond to this video... Bill Haley didn't do it until 1964. Chet Atkins did it in 1965, then TBHS from1969 until 1991. The versions heard the most are from the early 80' s TBHS...which I think are heard to much...Thank goodness I have almost all of the 70's versions...
Bloody Love it!

The song itself is called "Yakety Sax." It makes anything funny.

WHAT!??
stripy3 4 years ago
The point is, the "'Yakety Sax' makes anything funny" theory is similar to the "teletype SFX gives any radio news operation credibility" theory.
