the full proof way to talk to some one on the street, is to accidentaly purposely bump into them and say pardon me mam are you okay? sorry im not use to this place and i tend to look around at my surroundings alot, if she nods and continues your conversation then introduce your self and talk to her for a moment, if she isnt buisy, then tell her your buisy and have to go, and say u enjoyed your chat and if you can get her number so that you can talk to her again.

I think the only chance I have to meet a girl these days is talking to someone on the street. Online dating sucks. There's no one at work. My only chance is talking to someone on the street, but that's pretty difficult. How can you convince some girl you never met before to go out with you? The easiest way to approach a woman is being direct and honest. You don't need to make up a reason to go talk to her. You simply tell her that you noticed her, maybe compliment her on what you noticed. Then you say, "Can I ask you an indiscreet question?" Reassure her. Tell her you do not want her to be offended. If she says it's OK, you can now ask her ANYTHING. Then you politely ask her if she is single. If she says yes, and is not busy, take her out at that moment.

The street isn't really the best social setting, but that's my opinion. Others may disagree. If there's not a good reason to communicate to a girl on the street, then I simply don't bother.

The fact of the matter is that the street is a medium between any public place in town. Why don't you seek girls in such places? Makes sense to me. That girl could be heading for the coffee shop, restaurant, bookstore, etc. All I know is that people don't like being bothered in-transit.
