  • @TheRoboticFist Laptops >> tablets. There is nothing that you can do with a tablet that you can't do with a laptop (especially a laptop with a touch screen). I beat you sorry :)

  • @Nanofuture87 In 1 or 2 years u will be saying something completely different! i win IN THE FUTURE! *dramatic music*

  • @TheInfinitea Yes, you can press a single button and be instantly connected if you have your laptop set up properly. The main difference between comparing desktop vs laptop and laptop vs tablet is that desktops are not at all portable, while both laptops and tablets are designed to be on-the-go computing devices. Laptops have integrated keyboards, clam-shell design to protect the screen, much more readily accept any operating system or software that you want to put on them, etc.

  • @Nanofuture87 I think you're definition of 'instant' differs from mine. Also, a tablet is a lot more portable than a laptop. You can't realistically walk around and hold a laptop with one hand and use it with the other, you need somewhere to set down a laptop. I own a tablet, 11.6" netbook and 17" laptop and trust me there are situations that each one is better for. If you're sat infront of the tv browsing the net, tablet is king.

  • @TheInfinitea By instant I mean you press one button and the next second the device is on and ready to do whatever. I own a desktop, laptop, tablet, and smartphone and the tablet rarely ever gets used. Do you really walk around holding your tablet and using it at the same time? That would be extremely awkward to do, at least with my tablet. In that situation a smartphone is much better. The laptop sits in your lap while watching TV, so you don't need to hold the thing up.

  • @Nanofuture87 LOL I'm not saying I use a tablet WHILE walking around, jeez! I'm saying its something that's easier to walk around with, pick up, use, put down or whatever. I've never used a laptop that comes instantly out of stand-by and has got wifi connected ready. Also the iPad battery will last a month on stand-by so during that time its quicker to get on the internet than it is to open a book. How long does a laptop battery last on stand-by?

  • @TheInfinitea They make laptops that do, and you can install operating systems onto most laptops that will allow them to do so as well. Battery life really should be a non-issue for the majority of people. How often do you find yourself away from a power outlet for more than a few hours, much less a month?

  • @Nanofuture87 Missing the point, again. I'm saying tablets are more convenient in some situations. Are you saying that a laptop is better than a tablet in every way and in every situation?

  • @TheInfinitea They are convenient to have with you at some moments, but the expensive pricetags are not making worth it. Unless they make tablets with I7's and Nivida Technology i won't buy them, because for some they even have these handy keyboards. That + a mouse would be perfect. Having a powerfull laptop when you want it, and having a ipad when you need it.

  • @TheInfinitea No, I'm not, but in most of those cases a smartphone will do just as well. I just don't see much point in a device that is between a smartphone (extremely portable) and laptop (extremely versatile) except for a few niche applications.

  • one of the 1st! :D although i dont really care that much lolz

  • No top comment?! NO, just no

  • @coolguy5772 It's pretty obvious when you are first who comments.

  • dont tell me, made by the same people as angry birds
