i dont get why people are saying this wiil make you run wierd. its shows correct form while running. my middle school girls dist. track team was taught this by the highschool dist. team and as wierd as it looks, it really helps! thanks for posting this! ;)
A: Focus on developing the firing of hip flexors. They help promote leg speed and turnover by building dynamic strength and muscular endurance in the hips.
B: Focus on learning to retract the leg before the foot-strike, to ensure the foot touches down under the center of gravity.
C: Focus on improving heel lift during the recovery phase of the stride. Help to increase run cadence.

Running is all about your hamstrings, bringing up your leg up like that is fully quad and a waste of energy. Also, there is no point is dorsal flexing your foot (pointing it up), your foot should be relaxed before it hits the ground.
@azwok mate he is not an idiot. Those drills are proper and correct. Without those drills you would not know the technique of running, and therefore, 'not know how to run'. So basically he is right, and either your wrong, or you meant that he wasnt actually showing himself running.
(i have learned a different way to do c skip, but i also do buttkicks as well for my track team. my coach recommended i watch these videos. glad u made them, too. form is very important.
clear and precise illustration. thanks.

First, thank you for the post!
Here's what A,B,C drills are designed to address:
A: Focus on developing the firing of hip flexors. They help promote leg speed and turnover by building dynamic strength and muscular endurance in the hips.
B: Focus on learning to retract the leg before the foot-strike, to ensure the foot touches down under the center of gravity.
C: Focus on improving heel lift during the recovery phase of the stride. Help to increase run cadence.

Your an idiot.
These are well known running DRILLS, not a how to run...
Oh, and the word you were looking for is dorsi-flex not "dorsal flex"...
Nice video beachedwhale

Woah, what is with the personal attacks buddy?
I do not see the point of doing drills that practice bad habits in running technique.

dorsiflex, no hyphen
