And yes he can handle a car fine, he's one of the best in the field. It doesn't mean he's allowed to do it on public roads. If you're too fast on a road and you're pulled over, you can't just say to the cop "It's ok, I'm a good driver".

@mysticusa Well first of all to correct you - Rules and law are not to the same thing. Rules apply to a certain group of people within a certain area/demographic etc. Law applies to everyone. No exceptions. As an Aussie and an officer, if Mark did this, yes I would hate to punish him for it, but I have a job to do. An as icons and role models to youth, drivers on the world stage should know better.

Certain laws are more flexible and forgiving then others, and his intent in the action was not boy race anything, just cheering/entertaining the crowds gathered around for a once a year event.
