well that could be true, because the rivalry between Quebec Nordiques and Montreal Canadiens was the biggest in NHL history, not only because at one point in the early 80s the Nords became practically as good as the habs and the fact MTL didn't wanted a second team in Quebec province at first, but also because of political reasons. MTL is federalist and Quebec city is nationalist. Both teams also used to be owned by rival beer companies as well.
