Hang on to them, they keep getting more valuable. These really shine in phono and mic preamps. The Telefunken smoothplates sound nearly as good at a lower cost, however.
I absolutely LOVE the sound of TELEFUNKEN tubes! I have a classic, vintage FISHER 500 tubed stereo receiver circa the mid 1960's, which has these great tubes. It is one of my most prized audiophile pieces!
I keep my semen on a silver plate as well.

i have a nos 12au7a that has a black plate and a diamond/square shaped getter. i believe it to be a rca. are these valuable?

Telefunken tubes rock! But give these silver beauties a try too. They are currently less expensive and sound like the Teles!
