My friend has a 2006 ser spec v, they are nice. Boltons take really well to them. He has a short ram intake and a DC header. With those mods i take him by about 4 cars, Before i would beat him by over 6!
spec v's are great cars and are faster than most ppl think. right now im saving up for nismo intake, header, exhaust, and cams. then a spec v transmission later on. what do you drive that beat your friends spec v?
Yeah they are! I love the sound of the secondary intake runners opening at 5k rpm! With those mods you'll be doing pretty good! I drive a 2008 HHR SS. It's a 2.0L turbo. I do 0-60 in 5.58 seconds and run the quarter between 13.9 and 14.2 depending on my launch and the temp.
Yeah bone stock. It has a factory launch control and that really helps. If I just do a regular start it's closer to 6-6.3 seconds. It's a stout car. I have a few vids of me using my launch control. Check em out if you want
launch control is a really great thing to have, chevy is doing good with their newer cars, nissan hasnt really put new technology into cars except for the new skyline. Your car does really good with take off. how does it do at higher speeds?
Yeah im impressed with Chevy. I used to be an import guy, but after testing driving the hhr ss I had to have it. It has a fairly small turbo so there is virtually no turbo lag. It takes like 3 seconds to go from 60 to about 85.
my car starts slowing at about 90 the it really starts slowing down at 110. I love cars like the spec v and the hhr ss because they are pretty fast cars and at the same time they can be a luxury family car.
Wow for an auto it seems like it could get the manual def. at a rol from 0-60 (Very smooth)

@gsxellence I think it might be a little faster but the spec v would probably pull on it after 60 or 70. Its best time on the 1/8 mile was 10.4.

Just to be clear I timed 0-60 in 7.4 not to 95. That would be like a Porsche!
