my dad has a 2006 Kawasaki z1000 and he swapped out the stock exhaust with a 4 in 1 muzzy pipe. it is so loud that when he rides by at 110 MPH it usually busts some windows down the street lol

The guy is right about the way it corners. I ride a ducati monster s2r800 which corners way better. The z seems to have a very high centre of gravity and it's a heavy bike. At first the way it drops into corners is quite alarming. The z has lots of power but seems to lack the kind of torque I'm used to from my little ducati.

Hey dude, your comparing apples with oranges here the ducati is an LTwin the Z is an inline 4 yours would run out of puff way before the zed does your duc is not as refined as the z, I know cause I used to own a 2007 Ducati Monster S2R 800 the Z1 has more power and torque than your 800.

I'm with you all the way about the comparison.

I have an '08 Z1000, it's my first 1000cc and i absolutely love it.

I ditched the stock exhausts for a carbon slip-on set of Akrapovic exhausts though, results: -9kg weight, much more torque at the very beginning.

In Euro's, a slip-on set with e-mark goes for about 1000 without VAT.

I'm dutch, so over here that counts for another 19%, bringing it all to a small 1200 euro's.

normally, a bigger motor is more powerfull. and yes, the z1000 is WAY more beautiful. and the z1000 has more power, torque and all...i LOVE the z1000 but i dont like the z750 because of its bad look compare to the z1000.
