Funny Story Here. When my family went on this (Grandma stayed behind. She doesnt like these rides that much), my dad and i smelt something while we were in the area with the fire.. It smelled very chemical-ish and fumey. We didnt say anything, but i guess someone else did cause the ride shut down for about 3 hours afterward XD

Oh, and best time to go on this- Early Night. The waters like warmer at night and its just so cool because its dark out and everything. Dusk is also a very good time time

@smartiepants23452 Pompeii was an ancient city at the foot of Vesuvius. It was taken out by a volcanic eruption, many actually made it out of the city but died because the pyroplastic surges hit before ships from the navy on the mainland came to save them. The navy died too. As did nearby Herculaneum and a city on the mainland that I forgot the name of. There IS a Pampa though. It's in south america, and there have been no major volcanic disaster there.

This ride was great and the fire affects were good but needed some Volcanic eruptions, ground separations and boulders rolling around to make it better. This would tell the real story of how Mt Vesuvius erupted and ruined the city of Pompeii. Maybe some people getting crushed would have added something extra.

Water slide was great and we got a good picture afterwards.

Front row in this ride gets your knees down SOAKED. Watch how the water goes over the front of the boat... I reccomend wearing flip-flops... Wouldn't let me go barefeet... I did anyways.. I was just careful of the camera on the way up... Great ride, though!

Well, if so, when I rode this there were 4 little kids and their parents behind me ( I ride in the second row so that I get as much splash from the fall as possible but don't get my shoe's soaked ) and when the fire came on all the kids started screaming and crying and did so for the duration of the ride, and the parents blamed ME for making the ride so scary for their kids and tried to make me apologize.
