Damn. F-18s may not be the best planes in terms of G rating etc. , but they sure as hell look awesome.

My favourite plane after the F-35 although, please for fuck's sake keep the gay music to a minimum, seriously, these planes starting up are music to my ears :) im taking the required subjects at school to apply for the Fighter pilot position in the RAAF, and hopefully ill get my seat in one o' dem hornets :)

The airforce, they get all the funding for it. The others just use stop gap aircraft.

I wouldn't go that far. The most advanced fighter is the USAF F-22. The Navy has good fighters too though. Super Hornets are nasty, and the Growler is a whole new set of capabilities the Air Force hasn't even thought about.

Yes, he is an F-18 Structural Mechanic and while on ship I think he also helps catch the airplanes.

He is an aircraft structural mechanic and he works on the flight deck when at sea catching and launching planes.
