  • If I want to play jazz/bosa nova should I get a classical or flamenco guitar and should I learn flamenco or classical technique. I think classical but i'm not sure

  • Hi there! Beautiful playing and tone you have! I am a hollow-body player looking to make the switch to a nylon string...but am having trouble finding one I like.

Can you tell me what mic you are using? Or are you going through a pickup? What type of guitar and amp do you have? Thanks so much, I'm trying to learn more on nylon strings!

  • perfect feeling, you are the great bossa performer

  • I am shocked to see guys actualy gigging with a Jamey Ambersold type backing track? Is it that hard to get a trio or quartet together? Funny thing is the other cat on YT I saw doing this also has chops and can play...I bet you would sound even better with a live band behind you to interact with you. Great sound man

  • @jazzman3071

Yes Jazzman, it would have sound perhaps better with a "real" band, not too hard to find in Brazil, the US or even Europe, but on a small island in Thailand, with limited budget from the resort, there was not much option, you understand? Backing tracks? I see it a bit like making a computer graphics movie versus a movie with human actors. Things are changing...

    Thanks

    Gilbert

  • @gilmeda I agree with you. I guess I am just saying that as good as sound with computer behind you would sound that much better with live musicians backing you up. Great playing made better. Thanks for sharing bro.

  • Dear Gilbert.

Would you consider to sell your selfmade backingtracks?

By the way, I admire your work very much.

    Congratulations
