It takes more skill to Snipe properly on Black Ops than in any other CoD game, but I think they've made the game better now there isn't someone always trying to Quick scope me every five seconds, but i do miss the easy kills when the f up xD
Last night, i got your girl into last stand. I used deep impact to double tap her Bouncing Bettys. She sucked me like she had iron lungs, i am glad i had Painkiller. We went all night using Extreme Conditioning. Her sleight of hand got me to Sonic Boom all over her face. luckily for her i used steady aim so none of it went on her hair. Im glad they patched it bc i use to nvr get kills up close with a sniper.Now u can it makes it a good option to use a sniper.Now im glade they fixed it but they should also work on other issues!
the way I quickscope is that i run around around the map randomly and try to get as close as I can to the target as i can and then quickscope them, it really works ken should try it because camping and trying to quickscope at mid/long range is quite hard to do if your not an expert with the sniper
JEEZUS. I think they should work more on the patch they have RARELY patched sniping. And PS3 games cant even get one. This games Seriously fucked up. Thums up if you think MW2 is better
Ken if you watch things in theatre mode, all footage is captured through the hosts view. Latency will make it look like your not hitting but when you played it at the time they were all hits.

like i think they did a good thing on patching the sniper, u can quickscope now, no scopes nowdays just dont go to the middle of the screen although , but indeed, they have more things to worry on ps3, with the lag and disconections, and host migration. but hopefully, treyarch will get the job done , and tweak the sniper a little more, since its still has problem where u hard scope,and the cross its clearly on the guy, but u dont even get a hit marker !

They really need to focus on PS3 issues rather than quick scoping. That's the only thing I agree with in this video. As a frequent average player on the PS3, and having a host migration every other game or a game not starting really frustrates me. It frustrates me even more that Treyarch isn't doing anything about it. PS3 is a console, quick scoping is a skill. Which one is truly more important? PS3 players didn't buy the game for quick scoping. Treyarch needs to get their shit together.

hey ken when you missed when you hadnt scoped in it was because when you dont scope in your shots dont go perfectly strait.
try standing still and shooting over and over at a wall about 10 feet away without being scoped in. then go look at the bullets on the wall, they wont be all in the same spot.
i wont however argue that the patch did somewhat mess scoping all together. why cant they just take it back to cod4 sniping?
@zirlton Ken shoots like crap and almost certainly wasnt on target. Happens all the fucking time in game that shots that should miss get hit markers. If you arent aware of that maybe you should sit down and actually play the game, assuming you can get the time off preschool. The point of the red crosshairs is do designate when someone is in the general area of the crosshairs and not whether its going to hit, obviously, but the point is that its inconsistent with when it hits and when it misses.

4:18 If you didn't know, Microsoft has a deal of sorts with Treyarch, and Xbox is getting all the map packs for three years before all other consoles. It would make sense to put more effort into the people you're getting more attention from.
Also, it's easier to tweak a weapon in a game, then to completely upgrade an entire game, I am sure.
@scousepitty I mean, for three years, they get maps later than xbox. First Strike, coming feb. for xbox, is coming out March for all other consoles. I didn't mean every pack was three years off, just for a total of three years xbox would be getting all DLCs early.

i hav figured ou a way to quik scope... no hakin or glitchin just a nice normal way tht helps....... all u do is well on ps3 push down the button tht holds ur breath while ur scopin in for the kill and this stops the crosshair from goin all ovr d place... :D

I fully agree with you Ken, Treyarch should definitely fix the PS3 connection issue first and then perhaps focus on other tweaks and patches and such. Because I love this game, but I get so frustrater because ever 1 out of 3 games I just can't see the end of because those damn connection. Also I would like sniping to remain as it was when the game came out.
He was obvously in theatre mode because when he aimed down sight for hardscope, the scope was very sort of twitchy. Also in theatre mode it kind of lags so it looks like he aimed somewhere else but during the actual game he would have aimed straight for him.

During the actual game you would have hit the target perfectly. The crosshairs are off sync on theater mode. Gosh i thought he was smart.
Guys i am running for a Machinima contract I've never played Xbox or Playstation or PC but i think i can get a contract. I've also got no arms so its going to be a bit hard. yea hit detection in black ops is pretty much garbage. lol not even back in the days when playing good old socom 2 for ps2 was the hit detection so bad or the lag or all the other things that are wrong with the fucking game. That shooting them when your not on target happens all the time it's bullshit, your right there's other things that need sorting before the guns. There supposed to have sorted the knife lunge out but now they seem to stab you from about six foot away with no lunge and no contact
Ken, When you no-scoped, the reticle is saying it could go ANYWHERE in the reticle area. The person only takes up 1/3 of it maybe. The bullet probably went in the other 2/3.

thye do need to fix the servers cause they suck its a bitch to find a game somtimes and then the constant connection inturupted message iv had plenty of good game and the in lags me out when i have full connection and how they patched the sniping is alright at least now im thinkin of buying a sniper
As far as I understand it, whenever one of those mile away kills happen its caused by lag, the same thing can happen in a negative effect of shooting a guy in the middle of a chest half a magazine, he kills you without getting a hitmarker.
The last no scope didn't hit because those 4 small lines show the area wich it can hit, unless the enemy occupies the whole circle it creates, there always a chance of missing and there you had only about 60% chance of hitting him.
It looks like you dont hit the enemy but you do, btw try doing the same thing running around and you'd get smacked. It easier but still bloody hard unless you got a really good camping spot or are up against a crap team

in theater mode, sometimes it looks like you've missed but when you were in the game it is a hit. and also the cross hairs go red because your in short range of the guy and its like a helper, in a weird way. when you no-scope the bullet dosen't go dead center. Dont jump to conclusions ken :)
Im on PS3 I sent loads of money on it and i havent played it for ages because it doesn't work! Treyarc should focus on that more than messing up the sniping!

ken, admit it, you are not the person who can judge how good/ bad a sniper patch has been. quickscoping is always luck and if you watch any montage's game winning kilcams the scope is never on the person, thats just how the mechanics work. sometimes it is more about luck than judgement, even the best quckscopers wont hit 100% or even 75% of the time. as for them not working on the PS3 and that being more important, i expect that a different department is working on that.
Because your in theatre mode. You've mentioned it in previous videos too but with normal guns, where you were shooting behind someone but the bullets still hit them. We gave you the answer then too.
the same thing happens to me with or without snipers... someone could start shooting at me and miss, but CLEARLY AFTER I run behind a wall or some kind of object they shoot behind me and I still die. it still happens to me A LOT even with a 4 bar connection. wtf
I think the biggest problem of your video is the fact that your recording the gameplay from the theather, which is far from a perfect reproduction of what the player did in the game. So you were problably aiming a lot closer to the target. It's pretty clear the game still has some kind of problem whith lag and hitboxes though.
KEN READ THIS!!! U may think that you don't actually have to aim at the enemy when scooped in with the sniper, but the fact is you do. In your video you are on theatre mode so when you are watching it theatre mode makes the cross hairs delayed and so gives the illusion that you are "miles off" , but that is only due to theatre mode, i know this as i have live recorded gameplay that aims at the enemy but on theatre mode it makes it seem though it hasn't. I hope this helped =]
i agree that youshould not be able to kill people if you just shoot in there direction,however it is alot more fun than on mw2 when you had to take like 5 shots on a moving target .

I dont think quick scopeing should be back but Ps3 should be fixed now what they should do is make it so that bolt action sniper is always a 1 hit kill and most all snipers should almost always 1 shot kill because if you shoot someone in the neck with a dragnough they should die not go into last stand or keep runing

hey ken when you missed when you hadnt scoped in it was because when you dont scope in your shots dont go perfectly strait.
try standing still and shooting over and over at a wall about 10 feet away without being scoped in. then go look at the bullets on the wall, they wont be all in the same spot.
i wont however argue that the patch did somewhat mess scoping all together. why cant they just take it back to cod4 sniping?

@zirlton Ken shoots like crap and almost certainly wasnt on target. Happens all the fucking time in game that shots that should miss get hit markers. If you arent aware of that maybe you should sit down and actually play the game, assuming you can get the time off preschool. The point of the red crosshairs is do designate when someone is in the general area of the crosshairs and not whether its going to hit, obviously, but the point is that its inconsistent with when it hits and when it misses.

4:18 If you didn't know, Microsoft has a deal of sorts with Treyarch, and Xbox is getting all the map packs for three years before all other consoles. It would make sense to put more effort into the people you're getting more attention from.
Also, it's easier to tweak a weapon in a game, then to completely upgrade an entire game, I am sure.

@scousepitty I mean, for three years, they get maps later than xbox. First Strike, coming feb. for xbox, is coming out March for all other consoles. I didn't mean every pack was three years off, just for a total of three years xbox would be getting all DLCs early.

I fully agree with you Ken, Treyarch should definitely fix the PS3 connection issue first and then perhaps focus on other tweaks and patches and such. Because I love this game, but I get so frustrater because ever 1 out of 3 games I just can't see the end of because those damn connection. Also I would like sniping to remain as it was when the game came out.

He was obvously in theatre mode because when he aimed down sight for hardscope, the scope was very sort of twitchy. Also in theatre mode it kind of lags so it looks like he aimed somewhere else but during the actual game he would have aimed straight for him.

Seriously Ken you reputation is totally ruined. Are you that dumb its on theater mode the bullets never look like they are hitting the target its been explained a million times. During the actual game you would have hit the target perfectly. The crosshairs are off sync on theater mode. Gosh i thought he was smart.

yea hit detection in black ops is pretty much garbage. lol not even back in the days when playing good old socom 2 for ps2 was the hit detection so bad or the lag or all the other things that are wrong with the fucking game. Ken, When you no-scoped, the reticle is saying it could go ANYWHERE in the reticle area. The person only takes up 1/3 of it maybe. The bullet probably went in the other 2/3.

As far as I understand it, whenever one of those mile away kills happen its caused by lag, the same thing can happen in a negative effect of shooting a guy in the middle of a chest half a magazine, he kills you without getting a hitmarker.
The last no scope didn't hit because those 4 small lines show the area wich it can hit, unless the enemy occupies the whole circle it creates, there always a chance of missing and there you had only about 60% chance of hitting him.

in theater mode, sometimes it looks like you've missed but when you were in the game it is a hit. and also the cross hairs go red because your in short range of the guy and its like a helper, in a weird way. when you no-scope the bullet dosen't go dead center. Dont jump to conclusions ken :)

ken, admit it, you are not the person who can judge how good/ bad a sniper patch has been. quickscoping is always luck and if you watch any montage's game winning kilcams the scope is never on the person, thats just how the mechanics work. sometimes it is more about luck than judgement, even the best quckscopers wont hit 100% or even 75% of the time. as for them not working on the PS3 and that being more important, i expect that a different department is working on that.

I think the biggest problem of your video is the fact that your recording the gameplay from the theather, which is far from a perfect reproduction of what the player did in the game. So you were problably aiming a lot closer to the target. It's pretty clear the game still has some kind of problem whith lag and hitboxes though.

KEN READ THIS!!! U may think that you don't actually have to aim at the enemy when scooped in with the sniper, but the fact is you do. In your video you are on theatre mode so when you are watching it theatre mode makes the cross hairs delayed and so gives the illusion that you are "miles off" , but that is only due to theatre mode, i know this as i have live recorded gameplay that aims at the enemy but on theatre mode it makes it seem though it hasn't. I hope this helped =]

theater is inaccurate
for the first half second it goes anywhere within the spread of about an smg with steady aim so its likely to hit but no assured

I dont think quick scopeing should be back but Ps3 should be fixed now what they should do is make it so that bolt action sniper is always a 1 hit kill and most all snipers should almost always 1 shot kill because if you shoot someone in the neck with a dragnough they should die not go into last stand or keep runing
