  • Yeah that's the problem these days, people are thrilled with the talking car and overlook the spongy brakes.

Though the brakes are noted in the magazine reviews the remarks seldom show up on the sound bites. One should ask why.

  • This car changed me from a Honda guy to a Ford Guy. this car is awesome!

  • I wish the sport came in a manual gearbox

  • @Konformation07 It does or did at least I'm not sure. Its sad there's such a small demand automotive companies just drop them.

  • @BuffaloWarrior7 most Americans are stupid, lazy and fat don't know real driving if it bit them on the ass. It's a shame because the Manual transmission is dying and in 20 years it will die altogether

  • @Konformation07 Yeah it really is a shame my friends who arn't into cars don't understand why you would ever choice a manual over auto. It's really not that hard to use a clutch and its so rewarding. Being able to down shift and actually control the throttle not to mention there more efficient and get better gas mileage.

I will never waste my money on an auto although I am stuck with momys 3.0se fusion for now which is a great car. (But I will get my 99 mustang gt...)

  • @BuffaloWarrior7 yeah I drive a manual car and it's great how can people get so stupid when they see that third pedal it's beyond me

  • Can i put a turbo in the sport?

  • I'm waiting for my Fusion AWD V6 SEL 2010 i'm so excitted to actualy be owning a Ford last car i had was a Chevy no dissrespect for the Chev fans but i love the Fusion, too bad they did not do an SHO Fusion instead of a Taurus

  • in the end it's still a ford...the fusion got excellent reliability ratings and has good handling for a midsize car and is a better buy than the chinsey honda accord...at least u dont have to worry about it foldin up like a tin can like the jap cars in an accident..

  • @higbull

The Fusion is based off of the Mazda6... As such, it is a "Jap car"

  • Mazda was owned by ford. Thus the design technically is a ford design.

  • haha...that is true...i just got rear ended by an accord with my ford escape...no damage to me, but the front end of the accord was pretty messed up (as in 3k in damages)

  • I just got a new Fusion Sport.. I get it in 8-10 weeks.. and I'm pretty darn excited!!

  • Love the new fusion sport! Go ford!

  • I own a 2010 Fusion Sport AWD. Its a beautiful car. The Navigation & voice activated sync systems are unbelievable. Everywhere I go, people want to see "the amazing talking car!" The Sport tuned suspension is crisp, hugs the road like glue, corners very sharp & is a BLAST to drive! The sport leather seats fit me like a glove. The side skirts, rear spoiler, and front end give the car a bad ass, street mean look. The TV ads are correct, I got in, drove one, and purchased it! GO FORD!

  • @Deathlok2001 - Dude I just bought my own 2010 Ford Fusion SEL -Tuxedo Black w/ the 3.0L V6 - I love my car like a new child. It's so much fun to drive and it's so hot. I totally know how you feel. Beyond the attractive interior and exterior I love the way the car drives. Ford has really improved their transmissions and my car has some serious pep to it. It is A LOT of fun to drive. Some of the addtional options I bought was the sunroof, BLIS, Rearview camera, and Sony Surround Sound.

  • really nice front grill of this car.

  • I drove this car through the mountains for a week, it was ridiculously flawless, id buy one in a heartbeat especially considering i live in snow for 7 months a year.

I got to 190km/hr too, by the way

  • I would rather win a Ford my friend, I would be able to afford it.

  • The interior and exterior is not bad at all. It's compared to toyota and honda. What's the last ford you've been in? They are very nice buddy. Better than toyota and honda imo.

  • @gunzkevin Thanks to the Japanese parts, and the frame and construction it shares with it's subsidiary Mazda. (:

  • interior is not that bad.

  • So the interior isn't up to par with some of the best from Germany...big deal, they're still amazing cars, especially for the price. They definitely feel like they're built well, but they don't look as good. The interior that is.

  • Speaking of which, what IS the average price?

  • audi is a good performance car, but bad in maintenance, too much trouble and expensive as hell to repair, I had a 1995 A6 for 8 years, and god knows how much money was spent.

The concept Audi TRYIED to, was a european approach for long living confort vehicles.

I think Ford used a better approach, for 50% the price you get 80% of the performance, and 25% the repair cost.

in a 8 years with the audi, I got the expense to own 2 V6 fusions...

  • At least with the Ford you don't get your testicles removed during a service visit. Everything Audi is expensive. The oil changes, the tires, parts of any kind and believe me, they break. No more Audis for me.

  • Very true.. i have a 97 a4 and 01 s4.. very expensive.. but if you get handy and do the brakes .. oil.. and other things.. you save a shit load.. cost my buddy about 2300 to replace both rear bearings.. i had to replace one on the s4 .. took 64.99 and a hammer.. =P

  • I could easily see an A-4 buyer walking into a Ford dealership. A number of reasons, but the main one being price. The A-4 is overpriced. Period. So's the A-6, and A-8 --but they make a statement. The only statement the A-4 makes is "I couldn't afford an A-6". I've seen the Sport AWD in person. It's unbelievable. Very impressive.

  • Well have you ever thought that maybe someone liked the smaller size of the A4 and the lighter weight and overall looks? Just a thought

  • I think ford has come a long way

    i like this new fusion

    i would buy one

  • i'm a bit biased towards ford, but let's be serious here. nobody looking at an A4 is going to a ford store.

  • nobody.. but shit maybe you win a car in a raffle .. would u rather win an A4 or a ford?

  • Ford.

Made in the US -> +1

Cheaper to repair (all cars break) -> +1

    I like it better -> +5

    Ford 7 - Audi 0

  • Made in Germany so its gonna be made of better material and not rust after 5 years.. +3..

expensive to repair.. true.. unless u do it yourself..

Audi .. better interior.. quattro.. you can say ur driving an audi and not a ford.. +10.. so Ford .. 7 and audi 13.. ford looks shitty when its down six points

  • Maybe true, but tell me this:

Do you get 2x the car with the Audi? Because you're paying twice the price. I know your scenario doesn't include price, but in the real world, it's a reality.

I'm sorry, but I just don't buy into the German Engineering Bullshit. They hike price for no damn good reason, and I am more than confident that Ford can and does put out comparable products at a much lower cost.

  • I never buy new i know what ur saying with all options audi is around 40k and ford maybe tops 30... but its personal preference

  • Agreed Bravo. 100 % on the mark.

  • Ford: Made in America so you're helping the country's economy in which you live, and not a Socialist, elitist regime. +1000. The embarassment when you tell your friends you drive an A-4 and not an A-8, -500. Audi, impossible to get parts for, and when you do, you're paying through the nose in a down economy, -200. Ford is number one in initial quality... not Audi. There's another -300. Wonder why Audi doesn't sell more than.... well anyone pretty much....

  • Well we nuked 'em twice in 1945. Most things come in 3's.

  • I will let you know the truth. I have driven both and have even driven the A8. When it comes to total performance I really like the way the Fusion handled. Now the Audi is designed for top end perfromance. AUTOBAHN! But the truth of the matter is when I raced a A6 I beat him to 200k and my Fusion was stock!

  • toyota

  • Comment removed

  • But with a higher initial quality than toyota with comparable features and a lower price tag, I think they would sell better than a toyota.

Besides, when you buy a toyota you have to take that stupid pledge with yourself to be the worst, and slowest accelerating driver on the road. And that's not cool man. Not cool at all.

  • The thing you dont know, its lighter and has a better suspension than the accord and more power to boot. Its rumored to have an optional 6 speed manual too. The Sport edition will come equipped with a 3.5L v6 with 286 hp i believe.. engine is tuned as well.. the plastic is actually quite durable, same engineering used on the F150 intakes

  • 3.5L is rated at 263, just like the Flex :D

  • Comment removed

  • The engine has too much plastic? Did you really say that? No plastic in Ford engines. The beautiful thing is that Fords have been around for awhile and they don't have that problem. Oh yeah, Ford is now all by itself, surpassing Honda, for "Fewest Problems" and "Initial Quality". And I don't want to hear about original. Honda is the blandest most boring car maker out there. That's why they're fifth in sales worldwide.

  • FreakyJayDee, I've agreed with most of what you've posted save for the comment about Honda being 'blandest & boring.' I love both Ford AND Honda products, and I can tell you that Honda's are fun to drive and anything but bland. Quality is sterling. 'Bland' is a distinction I would attribute to Toyota. Reliable cars, Toyo, but boring as hell. I like the Gen III Prius styling and technology, but beyond this car, Toyota sucks. And I should know, owning a '05 Corolla. NEVER AGAIN!

  • ford u've got something hot here and eye like it!
