@KitchensLady Doubt it.. I'm positive the differences were brought on as a conscious decision for him.. He was very knowledgeable about psychology.. the effeminate voice was to give the impression that he was nurturing and meek. Only later when this was called into question and it started to get a bit outlandish (post second trial) did he speak with a more subdued tone. I myself do a bit of that & so can sympathize there. (when it's good to be shy, talk soft, etc)

Their personalities were completely different, so their friendship was--shall we say "tense," and they appeared in public together for public relations reasons only. In reality, they were rivals, remember? Michael felt that Madonna was driven by jealousy. Madonna seems to have viewed Michael as a goody two-shoes. Michael viewed her as mean and dismissive towards children. They were not a good combination.

@HenchMc Nope! Was never gonna happen. Michael never liked Madonna at all. But it was Madonna's objective to try to make Michael one of her conquests. In fact, it was her overly agressive, rude, overly sexualy nature that turned his stomach. This was a PR stunt for both anyway. Besides, during the after party for this event Michael had Diana Ross firmly planted on his lap the entire time. Madonna went to hang out w/ some other guy. Of course, MJ and Mad left together. Still PR.
