Nice Cadillac. I would take a fleetwood over any other new car out here 2 day. My first car was a 89 fleetwood my second car was a 94 fleetwood my 3rd car is a 91 caprice in now I'm looking at a 96 fleetwood.
I saw the same options today on a mint 95 or a 96 (Fold-able mirrors) Triple black WITH a sunroof. The car like yours was immaculate. After owning other B bodies (Impala SS and A wagon) I need a fleet wood to add to the collection! One day ill find a nice one
I got a 93 that was 73000 low miles but I blew the engine in it. Fellas make sure ur radiator cap is good, but I do love that black on black. I think Im going to paint mine just like that
One of the nicest presentations I have seen. I had mine since close to when she was born in Arlington and have wanted to get her a new dress.I want to go black, but had not found a shade I liked until "Diamond Black" this year. I think I shall go to a slightly lighter vinyl; A little more gray as my intrior is dark blue. And no gold. The stainless and chrome are good for me.
My one extravagance will be minor tweaks to the bumpers. On the front and rear I shall be adding Dagmars.
This is exactly what a car must be, but moreover, this is exactly as a Cadillac owner should treat it. Wonderful, is it an old man´s car? well, from the driver´s seat, with your butt on the creamy leather, the v8 purring on the highway, who the hell cares?
Beautiful Brougham! Hey nothing wrong with being 24 and having a car like that. Its just smart in my mind. They're reasonably priced and have everything you'd ever want on a car including power and suprisingly good gas milage. I started collecting Caddys when i was 17.. And now I'm 31 and I just baught my 15th cadillac. And I still own all 15. Its on my list to get for my collection.. The 96 brougham will always be one of Cadillacs best cars ever made. Awesome car.. :)
i have a 95 deville i know exactly what you mean by people saying its an "old mans car' i get that alot until the person gets inside and realizes how roomy it is.
Beautiful I have this same car minus the moonroof same color its a 93 and was actually used in the movie Traffic I am a Cadillac Car collector and its my favorite out of all of them I have owned it since I was like 22 so I know what you mean about being young and into big luxury cars. I have owned it for 10yrs The only thing I could do without on yours is all the stuck on emblems inside the car on the doors and on the dash oh and the steering wheel cover tho it looks nice.
The only thing it still needs is rear shocks, but it's definitely not urgent and it's hard to even notice the shocks are wearing out because the suspension is pretty soft and buoyant to begin with. According to the dealership it can wait a few thousand more miles. Anyway, everything is now totally fixed and ready to continue to sit under a heavy duty cover in a temperature controlled garage for extended periods of time. Haha.
3) The right front passenger window was going down sideways and wouldn't go back up. 4) The right front passenger seat was off kilter and was laying really low, almost flat to the floor. 5) The hood release latch was loose and needed to be tightened. 6) I had the power steering, coolant and transmission fluid all flushed and replaced. I also had the throttle body and fuel/emissions systems serviced. 7) I replaced the timing belt because it was 15 years and 68K miles old.
1) The right front chrome fender panel (between the bumper itself and the wheel well) totally detached from the body and was popping in and out of place. I think this is common to this generation of Fleetwood. Even the Wikipedia Fleetwood Brougham page has a picture of one with the same problem. 2) There was a weird scraping noise coming from the left front wheel area because the plastic mud guard was cracked and rubbing against the chrome bumper...
Bear in mind, I had all of this work done at a Cadillac dealership. I know everybody recommends this shop or that shop, but after numerous questionable experiences (including another GM dealership that took 3 weeks to give me an estimate), I finally found a Caddy dealer with a very good service department and a friendly, knowledgeable staff. Okay, here's everything that I had to have fixed...
Thanks for all the comments and views. To answer the most popular question, I enjoy the car too much to really consider selling it. However, it did develop a number of problems since I posted this video. I'll run out of space in this comment but I'll outline exactly what I had to have done in a minute. Basically, the drivetrain components are very solid and reliable. However, many pieces of the trim needed to be fixed...
I want this, I been looking for a triple black Fleetwood for a long time now. Any chances of selling it? I'm in NJ btw always in NYC and around the tri-state.
Car is in great condition! I am really interested in buying this car if ur planning to sell it. I myself am a cadillac fanatic and currently own a 94. I am looking for a 96 and if ur ever interested in selling it do let me know.
@iskimaki Thanks for your interest! I am definitely not planning to sell it anytime soon... in fact I'm considering draining all the fluids and placing it in dry storage for the indefinite future to preserve the low mileage.
Unfortunately, it isn't! I wish Cadillac would build something that's at the very least similar, in terms of the styling and mechanical layout. Unfortunately, I think most Americans would rather have a big SUV. I don't understand the SUV craze, but apparently I'm in the minority on that one.
I was never a big fan of that year body but yours is absolutly flawless!! LOVE A CLEAN CADILLAC. have you ever considered having sequential turn signals installed for the rear.
I'm definitely thinking about the sequential turn signals after seeing examples here on YouTube. I'm going to get around to that as soon as I finish several things I need done to my '96 Sedan Deville (it has only 31K miles and the Northstar). On my list are a full tune-up, radiator flush, new rear shocks, new vogue tires, and I also want to fix a couple of tiny scratches in the clear coat on the decklid. I've only driven it 550 miles in the last 9 months.
Always garaged, never driven in snow, and it shows! The previous owner (before it was scooped up by the dealer and re-sold to me) put about 50,000 miles on the car in 14 years. It's obvious that it was babied, and I fully intend to keep it that way. Unfortunately, my parking space is about $400 a month (NYC, nothing you can do), but there is no way I'd let this car sit on the street 24/7. I'd sooner sell it to someone who can keep it in a garage.
@koioo2 Nope, no plans to sell the car anytime soon, I intend to keep it for many, many years and have no intention of driving the mileage up more than 2-3K a year. I'm looking to add a 1974, '75 or '76 (same model and color) to the mini-collection. Once in a while one pops up on eBay, but I want a very low mileage collector quality example and they aren't easy to find (especially in triple black!).
they dont make cars like this anymore sucks.
