I didn't wanted to say tat other were worse, I wanted to tell that we were better. I know that Britain has done great job. For example my favourite bombing mission during WWII was Operation Chastise. Pilot of Lancaster "O" was flying under the level of trees!

@admiraldma I'll tell you. They were on their place, defending our country. But we had worse equipment, the PZL-11 was incredibly slow (but we did perform several shotdowns on Bf-109, there were many of them). And we tought we had powerful allies, Great Britain, France, USSR. But they all betrayed us. In fact we were helping them, instead of them helping us. The 303 squadron was the most succesful squadron in BoB. On their first six days in service they performed 24 shotdowns, without losing...

ANY aircraft. And you belive we surrender right after german invasion? Let me tell you something. Did you heard about Westerplatte? This is first battle of WWII. Germans wanted to take this small command post in a few hours. We were defending for a WEEK. Germans had over 4000 men, we had only 225. We lost 15 men, Germans lost about 400! They were shooting from 280mm cannons, using bombers, and shooting from a lot of smaller cannons (150-37mm). We had only rifles, we even haven't bunkers.

Watch film "Jak rozpętałem Drugą Wojnę Światową" (How did I began the WWII). It is a comedy, but tells a true story. We were fighting for everyone, everywhere, to beg these countries to help us get freedom for Poland. But it wasn't worth it. We finally uprise in Warsaw, in 1944. We called called USSR to help us. But they were standing on the other side of Vistula, and watching our men dying. Every day 20000 people gave their lives to homeland. The Warsaw's Uprise is now called "63 days of glory"

We had nothing to lose, But we never gave up. For us, the war didn't end in 1945, it ended in 1989. Before 1950 about 95% of polish war heroes were killed by russians, or were cursed. And the last thing: After 1940 we weren't able to fight on our own. Russians killed over 10000 polish officers in woods of Katyń, Charków, Miednoje and few more places. For years(it has began in 1772) we were forgotten. But we are the bravest nation over the world, and I'm proud of it.

@Vuvus210596 Hang on a minute. I NEVER insulted the Polish pilots skill or bravery, and I made NO comment on thier army either. I was just making the point that Polish pilots accounted for a small percentage of kills during B of B. Yes I agree they were probably the most sucessful but you made it sound as if the other nationalities did nothing, our pilots were bled almost dry during the B of B. I can see how my comment can seem insulting and have removed it.
