  • I love the Gary Fire videos, those folks are awesome firefighters and you make great videos. Thanks for posting!

  • @bkymic Thank you for the comment, it is appreciated. I am glad you enjoy the videos, they defiantly have their share of work....

  • @bkymic Thanks for the comment, it is appreciated. Glad you enjoy the videos!

  • good job guys. i like how they were workin off the tower thats the safe way to work. again good job

  • Of all the movies I watch, you are one of the best to present them. Thank you.

  • WOW, no thank you. I appreciate the comment, but if it wasn't for the men and women fighting the fires I would have nothing. Thanks again for the comment and I will keep them coming as long as they keep having the fires

  • do you have video of the great gary fire that occur on oct '97 i use to live on 4th & madison st

  • No I do not, I just starting filming GFD in early 2007 when I moved out here. Wish I was here earlier, heard lots of good fires back in the day!!!!

  • Does Harvey Il get fires like Gary? Anyone know how the Fire dept is? Are they aggresive?

    Just wondering... nice video

  • Harvey does get their share of fires, idk if they get as many as Gary though. And for the most part they are an aggressive department. It really all depends on who is running the show that shift. They start out at around 36,000 if I am not mistaken. Thanks for the comment

  • do you....or anyone you know have Video or pics of Harvey FD?

  • Nice video Ed, keep up the good work so I can watch all the fires I miss, I tend to just kinda sleep through them these days since I've been retired!

  • Cat naps are my best friend, I have missed many good fires because of that whole dam sleeping thing. I will do the best I can, if there is a fire while awake in Gary it will be here. Thanks for the comment and enjoy retirement, I might as well be. Dam workmans comp!!!

  • Yeah, a tip of the old leather to the GFD. The only thing that still works in this city anymore! Still waiting for the cops to show up about my house being broken into 3 weeks ago, I kid you not.

  • I can't say good or bad about GPD. The runs I have been on where they were, I can't complain. I live in Lake Station, when I call the police they come from all directions asap. I swear some of them hide under rocks at the corner or in the brush, the response time is some type of record. And I have to agree, GFD is tops

  • The Lake Station cops got alot better after the city changed it's name, remember when it used to be East Gary!

  • I, as division chief, certainly appreciate all the positive press, and the good videos showing how aggressive these firefighters are. We did a four point entry into this building to which people may have been trapped. Within a few minutes, primary and secodaries were negative thankfully to none being inside. Commendations to the men and the videography. Thanks for exposing these men and women on the G.F.D.

  • I am glad to hear nobody was trapped or injured at the fire and the pre-fire planning makes a huge difference when pulling up on scene. The firefighters and medics were great this morning. I have to thank everyone on GFD for being more than welcoming to me and doing what they do. I am more than happy to be there documenting their hard work and efforts, They deserve it. Thanks for the comment and keep up the great work

  • Nice work Ed! I see you are makin some GFD buddies...Truck 1 seems to be in a lot of videos.

  • Thanks D been running a lot trying to keep-up. Still waiting for you to come out.

  • Great video Ed, nice job showing Truck 1 and the rest of the Box companies at work. You didn't miss much at 26th and Virginia. Keep the videos coming...

  • If Gary keeps having fires I will be there, and everyone did a great job this morning. Very active scene from the start and the attack was perfect. Thanks for the comment and keep up the hard work

  • Good job Ed, as usual on scene quick.....and got the video up before I got the Truck washed.

    Keep it up!

  • LMAO, I always try to get em up there asap. Shift change at 7am!!!! Was a good fire, I had to make-up for missing 26th and Virginia. I worked my ass off getting that video put together and uploaded, I really wanted to get the video up before I went to sleep. Thanks for the comment and I will keep them coming.
