I saw her as Dalila in "Samson et Dalila" by Saint-Saëns last thursday. She kind of blew me away with that dark quality of hers, especially with the aria where she tried to uncover Samson's secret. Really an amazing singer.
Need a way to let go of tension in the throat/jaw/lips? Try pouring something from a beaker to a graduated cylinder while singing. So trying that in my next lesson.
I love when she discovers the chocolate at 2:20 and then sings to it... hehehe...it's like that forbidden Wonka-Bar XD. And she looks amazing~! (and sounds ravishing)
Kasarova e izkliuchitelno inteligentna,muzikalna ,s visoki profesionalni umenia i zabelejitelen glas.Blagodarna sam i vseki pat , kogato ia slusham.Da e jiva i zdrava!
Yup, it's on a DVD from Zurich Opera with Nello Santi conducting (Manuel Lanza is Figaro, Reinaldo Marcias is Lindoro). And Rosina is messing around in Don Bartolo's lab, apparently. :o)
I'm not sure I'd be hitting a B after sniffing a sulfur containing liquid! ;P
Amazing how she keeps singing so well while doing all the stunts with the test tubes. I'd break the whole lot of them while missing a few notes in the process.
Wee heard her live in Carnegie Hall in Tancredi and lets just say it was one of the most amazing singers if not the most amazing singer you will ever hear live. She blew everyone away. Her high notes are so huge and round and beautiful she puts any soprano to shame and her chest tones are equally as huge and impressive.
Cool thing! I wish I could have been at that show. I got to hear her in Dom Sebastien there last November and she was sensational. Top still free and beautiful and the bottom has really bloomed! Very controlled and very expressive at the same time. Not many can do that.
Let's spam the Met and LOC into getting her back here to sing again before she gets old! ;o)
She interprets like a Bulgarian folk singer, which makes it quite amusing for us Bulgarians to watch:) It´s Italian+Bulgarian folk music all of a sudden and it stands the test of time, for sure. The Italians(Romans,if you like)are extraordinary, even with our Bulgarian measures judged.../An ethnic group in love
For well-singing, she first have to find out why she says "sE, Lindoro", and not "sI, Lindoro". After this, maybe she could surprise about what her voice is.
What i like of this production are the fans, but the useless details like the chocolat and the lab experiments...If the director wanted to show symbols, he could give her a tournedo rossini.
Incredible voice, indeed, rich, able to express beyond the scenic act. Slight problems with the breathing, have to admit, I enjoyed it a lot. She's very good at it
I have no idea what chocolate has to do with any of this but her voice is quite spectacular... It kinda sounds like rich chocolate... that is the only correlation.
...schaaade ...hab ich verschlafen ..:-(..

One of the rare occurences (but lovely nonetheless)where we find Mrs. Kasarova in a dress! She plays boys as much as Graham!

I never really notice, but she does tend to even wear pant-suites in recital. She does look stunning in a dress too~

What's the fixation with the chocolate anyhow. This thing came out of Switzerland anyway. Tho no chocolate can match this Rossina. She rocks!

Lindor is a brand of Swiss chocolate--it's a joke! And you are right, she ROCKS.
