First season of Pokemon I enjoyed. This season I also enjoyed (THEY LET ASH WIN A LEAGUE, WHICH WOULD NEVER, EVER HAPPEN AGAIN). Even the first chunks of Johto I enjoyed. The problem is that during Johto was when we hit fillerland.

There was filler before that, sure, but it was normally plot relevant - a new Pokemon or location etc. In Johto, well...that was when we started having 75% of the show be filler.

Pokemon died for me when I saw this intro. Admittedly the plot had gone to shit long before this, but this was the point I realized I had become too old for Pokemon. Like Brock, I had to move on...

@NWolfwood Brock came back right after this season for the Johto League. It was starting to fail then, but I put in the effort to memorize the 100 or so new Pokemon. When I finally had all 250 something memorized, they came out with over 100 more. That's when I gave up. There are just too many. And they're running out of fresh ideas. They recreated Butterfree and named it Beautifly. And they're adding ugly evolutions to classic Pokemon. The only good new ones are Eevee evolutions.

Seriously, I think DP is pretty good. It's better than those nightmare seasons with May. They were the worse. Just because it's new doesn't mean you have to say it sucks. True the Pokemon designs aren't quite as good, but they're better than Ruby and Sapphire!

THEY ARE REMAKING GOLD AND SILVER, I CAN'T WAIT!! It'll be Pokemon Gold Heart and Pokemon Soul Silver. Check GameFAQs, they're not fake. Serious.

I actually liked this opening. It was a hell of a lot better than the "first" Johto Journeys theme. Which was totally awful. I'm glad when they brought back the first seasons theme and jazzed it up a bit to replace such. Anyway, they should bring back Kenji/Tracy. I always thought he was a kind of nice guy type.

I have to say that I really disliked this opening.. Also all of the characters it shows at 0:31 never come back.. Well except the Gary and the Ditto girl.. I was told Ditto girl comes back at some point. If I herd a word about Bug Samurai guy returning for an epic rematch I would go and watch it!

Well, the characters they show are grayed out. I think it's a nostalgic thing. "Remember these faces from the previous season?" kinda thing. Doesn't mean they need to return.

Like the 'spurt' opening, they show all of Ash's Pokemon as well as old characters. I think that's the point.
