  • The physics sim is beautiful

  • 3 years and one comment? Now that's a story.

  • this is what apple is claiming they invented it? hahahhahaha

  • Data visualization and manipulation is phenomenal with Multi-Touch. But with that control there is a great deal of complexity. There has to be a very adaptive and scalable user-interface system setup to provide that control in an intuitive and easy to use way. You can see all my Multi-Touch concept videos at my channel: thenewtouch

  • I work in a IT store where i regularly tinker around with iPod Touch and HP Touchsmart (both 22" desktop + tx2) and i haven even began to see what multi-touch can really do! Nuts! :D

  • I'm working on a project where I could use this. Have you got a phone number where I could contact Jeff?

  • Google his name, you'll find his site, I believe he's selling these screens from the site (custom made)

  • ni baru cara bebe

  • so...how long it took for him to build it? And is he getting a contract from Microsoft or something?

  • this is just amazing.....

  • what is this?

  • As you can see in the video, the user can use all of his fingers to control multiple points on the screen. This is interesting both in concept and application. It shows that it can be done, and what it can be used for...

  • tech. has no limits

  • It does, but that's the beauty of it. using those limits to move on.

  • Sorry, but, which song is this?

  • It's the original soundtrack to "Kid's Story" a short movie in the Animatrix collection. All music in Animatrix composed by Don Davis...

  • this is really cool haha

  • its cool

  • hey, if u want it. save bout 10,000 dollars!

  • actually, this is home made.

This is what you need to make it:

    - 1 regular TFT computer screen

    - 1 video camera with nightvision

    - A pane of glass

    - IR LEDs

    - Some skills for making the structure

    - One heck of a load of programming skills

  • Oh is that all? :P

  • Here we have a Cornell grad who's done genius work and the trailer park trash who posts this can't even spell or type a single error-free sentence. What did Carlin say? The US is a front row seat to the freak show? It's sad, oh so sad.

  • Sorry, but were you bashing me with that?

If you are, what's your problem?

  • It's all like Wow

  • this hardware has been out for along time now.. the are using it in the new IPHONE

  • Hey, did you even look at the date of when this was posted? May 2006, months before the iPhone was announced?

  • Some of the techniques they used can be used on the iPhone...

Such as the making photos smaller and bigger with 2 fingers and the google maps bit aswell :)

  • This if the future. It's near, around the corner... But I'm from Poland... Future here is a past from US and Japan.

  • this is what im waiting 4!

  • a dream come true

  • faster work possible-futuretime

  • pretty cool. The important part really is writing programs that make use of the possibilities of the device. These demos are cool but this will become really useful when it is integrated into standard software like an operating system or image processing software

  • only 4,600 views!!?? more people need to see this!

  • the future is confused and beautifull... ??¡¡¡¿¿

  • i cant wait to own one of these!!!

  • I look forward to gettin me one of these. hopefully commercial within the next 5-10 years (or sooner)

  • You can build your own also...

look up Jefferson Y.Han and you'll find his website, there's some info, enough to figure out how to build one... Some programming knowledge required...

  • That's the future!

  • Apparently it's quite easy to build, the hard part is the programming, but even that's an easy job for any good programmer...
