This looks good so far. She seemed to just have a little bad luck there with the dice; if you don't get any insurance markers than you have only a 5% chance of winning the game. Cheryl does seem like an interesting contestant, a typical High Rollers contestant is excited & strategic. Wink is doing a good job here by being himself & conducting the game along nicely. Let's see what happens now as she faces a new opponent.
I will only agree with you partially. Like you, I wish that High Rollers were more popular, but I will not disparage Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune for being more popular than High Rollers, as I like both of those shows, as well.
just a guess, (i'm not religious but i know enough about religion to know that gambling is a sin) (and besides, how the heck would she know if it had anything to do with gambling if SHE never watched it?
Here's some differences in sound effects and 1 notice:
1) The "bad roll" sound is different than the sound at Jay Lewis' SFX site.
2) The groaning sound is also used on Card Sharks '86, Family Feud '88, Press Your Luck, the Pyramids and Wheel of Fortune '90s ('89-'95) when a contestant does something bad. Anyone notice that?
A fine revival, but if Jeopardy! was still hosted by Art Fleming at the time, then Alex Trebek certainly would've been hosting High Rollers again; Trebek, of course, also hosted Concentration for NBC during this time period.
When I hear that two tone losing sound, it reminds me of the pterodactyl sound on the video game, Joust!

This version never should have been canceled in the first place. I agree that this is a fantastic game show. To boot, it has a great theme song.

It's a shame that during that time Jeopardy & Wheel of Fortune were more popular than High Rollers.

I used love how the Big Numbers would light up one by one with each clap of the opening theme music.

Too bad your grandma didn't know that Alex Trebek was the original host of this show in the 70s. Look where he is now.

Unlucky for Cheryl, she needed a 12 to win and rolled 6, she still won $600 though.

You forgot NYSI 1989 and TPIR (1989-1994) when something wrong happens.
