@EvilNecroid Yeah, happens to me a lot. Apparently, followers don't level up with you. If you meet, say, Lydia, at level 10, she'll be around that level for the rest of the game, I think. I play on master, and she gets killed by strong mobs half the time.

Best thing to do, get a new follower every 5-10 levels. There are many of them in the game anyway.

@M4ZAqih Try using the procedure on the UESP wiki to level her up to match your character's level, and repeat every few levels. You probably met Lydia at fairly low level, and she doesn't always level up when you do.

Go to the UESP dot net wiki. Search on "followers". Look in the "Follower Stats" section.

Okay, having got the link (sort of) to go, here's the rest of my post...

Be sure to have a game save before trying this procedure, in case it goes wheels-up on you. Don't click anything at all with the mouse between the "disable" and the "enable" commands, because you need Lydia to remain selected as the current object even though she's invisible.

I think a lot of people assume Lydia is weaker than the other warrior NPCs, but it's because they acquire her at lower level.
