Messiah may be one of the original front men

(after Johan Lanquist) for Candlemass, and he may

be great. Robert Lowe kind of wants to sound like him. 

But to my personal taste, Bjorn Fklodkvist is the best

singer Candlemass has ever had, maybe because

he sounds a little bit like Ossy. Bjorn is the true voice

of doom in Candlemass. Messiah and Robert sound

a little too heavymetalesque, sort of like Bruce Dickenson.

I was fortunate to open a show for Candlemass and they were the nicest people I have ever come across in the business. A little hard to understand but good people.

Messiah is THE singer for this band.

The unearthly and beautifully dark

tales of both good and evil he creates

are accented by vocals that have to be

heard to be believed.

Be it the dark operetta of The Well Of Souls, or the Tales Of Creation and Samarithan, they praise both the Light of Heaven, and the blackness of Hell, and would be welcome in either place equally.

Yes, for me Messiah is THE VOICE OF DOOM! Perhaps he's not the best metal singer if we consider power and vocal range but I love his voice and his singing style!

Yeah, dispite all the dispute between him and the band and the fact the Robert Lowe from Solitude Aeturnus has been doing a great job, Messiah will always be the voice of Candlemass.

@EaTaesse : I don't know him as a person so I can't talk, but about the voice, he' s one of my favourite one, if not the most. I repeat, I'm talking only about the tone of voice, theatre-style of chanting and the way he interpret the songs.
