  • I see u got the M Audio monitors..they work good??

  • @1892Dro They are alright. I would say the MPDs are better. Especially for Reason and Protools because you can assign the channels exclusively when you're using Reason in rewire mode with Pro Tools.

  • great adviced dude :D

  • dude its cool .

  • why would you make the beat with your mouse when you can make it using that perfectly good drum pad in front of you in less than half the time theres absolutely NO swing what so ever in this beat. The piano sounded wayyy better before you quantized them??

  • dam man now just imagine if u thought of that before scott did lol. very very talented bra God bless

  • great job

  • Everyone check out tim hitmaker instead. Soundclick Tim Hitmaker

  • :) nice break down of da beat bro :) . glad to see a good produca . cus ppl always r tlkin abt hiphop wen dey produce :) m glad u didnt just sample and use da stuff .:D true produca bruh makes it frm da scratch ;) m glad u did !

  • What a cunt...!

  • It's some shithead, with his baseball cap on to the side. Great...!

  • youtube.com/watch?v=l4lR5zvjbTM&feature=channel

  • where did u get your drum sounds from in this beat?

  • hit them pads cuz, why you clickin the mouse so much?

  • yo bra good copy of the beat ive been trien to do the same beat its kinda throwing me off im trien to get my practice on beats like this i was wondering if you could send me the reason file of the beat if you can i just need to see how you setup up the beat if you can E-mail it to me its all good if you cant ill understand good shit tho

    message me if you can

  • you are awesome

  • were did you get all thoes sounds ?

  • check out the beats on my page!

    Evolv Productions!

  • you said use red drum??I bought reason and im justlost

  • @Jordans03

    Redrum

  • @Jordans03 he meant re-drum drum computer, read the guide

  • I heard scott storch did the violin strings in the rapper game lets ride song

  • @kambridge967 he produced the whole thing, piano, drums everything was done by scott

  • im laughing at the haters who say remaking a beat dont take talent....not everyone can do it.. and its just for fun, not like hes gonna sell it

  • thats right man!

  • I really don't think that this guy was going to pass this off as his own beat. There is nothing wrong with learning your craft by imitating others...and that's what is happening here. Plus, he is just showing others how a beat would be made. Chill people.

  • where is scott storch

  • FUCK THIS HATERS KEEP DOIN YO THING

  • this obviously isnt what he doest all the time, for all of u saying hes wasting his time... this dudes got talent, he must make his own music, hes just showin us what hes got

  • Love Reason 4.0

If u have da time listen to one of my beats at my site..

    Peace J.

  • Its easier to make original beats then sample other stuff. But he is using it for remixing.

  • waste of equipment. remakin somebody else shit

  • wots the point in remaking someone elses beats? he obviously knows how 2 use the software so why not make his own beats and be original?? just a thought uno ...

  • its practice... it's also fun to play or create any kind of music whether it's covering music you already love or creating something new...just ask the millions of bands that cover songs why they play them.

  • @rokkasyngoon its good to remake a beat of someone elses in a tutorial for a couple reasons

1 a famous beat is easier to identify with for some1 trying to learn how to make beats and is a beginner

2 its good for ppl who are experienced in producing and are moving from one program to another, to get an idea of how far they can go with the software and what it can do

  • @thugdoutDUNN Indeed..this shit was made with Reason 3.0

  • nice! ive been thinking of getting back on reason

  • dis nigga beat bittin

  • this guy got the keyboard, the drum midi how can't he come up with somethin like this he use the reason for it's mixer

  • you know i only have a keyboard, but i don't need a m-box, i think its a waist of money, especually that u can play with the drums on the keyboard, and to infasize on that, there's redum..

  • wops i mean Redrum

  • gud on ya bruh! keep up ya grind and FUCK WUT YOU HEARD!!

  • hey !!

    what s up!!

com on my profil man !!

  • alright guys stop hating on him! he is a great at making beats so we should just leave it at that. who cares if he doesnt know the names. Keep doing what you do

  • Its Redrum Not Red drum

  • good shit

  • Its not a "tick". Its called a hi-hat! Seriously, u get all this equipment but don't know the difference between a "tick" & a closed Hi-hat

  • music is music, let the man be.

  • TELL EM SLYWITIT! REAL PRODUCERS KNOW

  • sweet now make your own son. mad props

  • u should do some more of scott storch, like the west coast style

  • Scott storch style is not the same like West Coast style so u can't do a Scott Storch style beat like west Coas style

  • just goes to show....all the mainstream producers use the same god damn sounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ugh ...nice job man but ppl need to start respecting real hip hop

  • "so imma put the tik in there"

    haha

    great job tho!

  • very helpful,

but dammit its RE- DRUM NOT RED-DRUM!! LOL

  • lol i call it the same thing redrum! redrum! lol its Murder backwards! sounds cooler than reeedrrruuuummmm!

  • THANK YOU!!! lol i get tired of ppl calling it Red-Drum

  • You got bloody hell good equipment for prodicing and makeing beats...nice nice indeed

  • jcage007 u obviously aint a producer

  • great work man! Keep doing that shit!

  • i think its good to remake the beats of good producers, cause its a good practice to get better...and its fun...

  • Dont try to be like scott Storch. if ur gonna be successful at all u gotta create ur own legacy. just be creativity on ur own, do ya thing dog.

  • It ain't wasting his time... He obviously make beats of his own, but he wants to put himself at the limit n see wat he can do.

  • actually, making remakes of other beats is a great way to make your own beats sound better. You can learn new techniques and things when your trying to teplicate the sounds.

  • thank you..exactly

  • Its actually Re-Drum

  • why wud u wanna do same beat someone else already did? just fuck it. make somethin ur own. i wud never waste my time

  • its a tutoral. Hes just showing you how you can make the same beat as these professional guys do using this program. And since scott storch is one of the popular producers. He just used him and this beat as an example.

  • doing remakes , makes your better . and gives you much more ideas on making your own beat...

    working on me :)

  • nasty beat homie

  • Red rum sucks for drums .... use somthing called e-jay its like reason but its easier and then you can save them and put them into reason and there you have it.... its made buy propellerhead... check it out bruvas

  • yo i made the song motivation on reason if you like reason check it out its on the video responses under motivation by ThaKingofTube

  • at 2;54 YOUR TALKING ABOUT THE DOUBLE TICK, HOW THE HELL CAN YOU DO THAT JUST USING THE PRIMARY TICK?

  • just turn the hats from 8th notes to 16th notes for one beat.

  • good stuff man, i like the old school piano beat better, though. and don't listen to TonyVmusick...i say it like "red rum" too, haha. questions, though: what drum setting is that, and what's the setup you use? I see you've got reason plus the trigger finger, but there's also some keyboards and stuff...what are you packing? and keep up the vids, they're great

  • Get reason 7 is out with 2009 modern samples

  • You pronounced redrum wrong you fucking dick head!!! And your beat sounds like a fuckin fony wannabe like others beat. You are nothing like scott storch. MORON MORON MORON I've seen little kids making better beats then you!!! YOU Are WEAK ass fuck!!

  • hey faggot. stop hatin on him. i dont see any of your beats on here. nigga upload some and we will see who is better bitch. ten to one this nigga puts u in the dust.

  • you got any beat videos to show? you sitting up here talking mad mess.

  • Yo..good shit..But how did you find those samples in reason??theres so much to chose from?? Are they factory reason refills??

  • damn this helped me out a lot more than most tutorials that show the screen of the app ... thx man..

  • hey...wats ur setups wat do u have in music in general

  • raw talent right there, dude need to be signed to just hear the song and play it verbatim on the keyboard, thats amazing

  • damn you got a good ear. sick vid...

  • whats the tempo that you used

  • how do u get reason

  • you buy it smartass -.-

  • sounds good but i made a lil beat on my cheap keyboard i dont have any equitment check it out and tell me wat you think if u like it can u try to put other things in it and make it sound like this video

  • nice vid bro u got skills check mine out if u like peaceeeee

  • yo nice beat fam.

I do beats on reason, but how to I export the beat when i'm finished into MP3?

And why is the WAV file (of my exported beat) like 44 MB big?

    HELP

  • Because its a wav file, aka it does not have the compression of different formats such as MP3s.

  • its good.... how u recreate it its not really hard to do.... it u have all da sounds ...i be doin that when im bored ..

now i wanna here sum of ur beat

  • why the hell would you copy a beat like that? you can recreate any beat on a 100 dollar casio keyboard, the trick is coming up with your own shit. 1

  • You're right.

  • Yo I have a question. Sounds that you've used, are they all basicly in Reason? I mean... When you buy/download Reason are this souns included? (sorry for my englis, home you understand)

    THX

  • Some of the instrument patches come with Reason. I downloaded some refills too. All of the drums sounds I got from other places. I rarely use reason drums.

  • thx man. ;)

  • scott storch is white

  • sorry his beat gotcha, anyways, I just got a m-audio 88es...how much flexibility do I have using Logic Pro and Reason 4?

  • no that was a clap lol

  • Datz Not a clap datz a snare my young son...

  • those r m- audio speakers and a m-audio trigger pad

  • lol i meant your audio monitor, your speaker...since i´ve seen them somewhere else on a picture in a pro studio as a second pair of monitors and i couldnt figure what kind of monitors they are! Thanks in advance! Overall, good job! Go on!

  • What is this little monitor wiht this blue sticker?

  • It's just a Panason TV with VGA input so I can see the devices on one screen and the tracks on the other.

  • u got dual monitors? im gonna try to get the money to be able to do it

  • I thought mac computers didn't crash.haha.

I luv the dual monitor setup, yo. Wicked.

  • I personally don't like FL like that or computer programs for that matter cuz on hardware u just can get the feel of the music and itz nothin like usin ya hands and creating great music. But itz all in what u like. 9th Wonder uses FL and he is the shit on it and one of my fav producers but I jus don't like software. But if somebody made a beat that wuz dope on software I'll still use it, jus long as it sounds dope it doesn't matter what u use but I prefer the hardware.

  • well said kash and rtiztic, ive made tracks on hardware but now i use software and I play everything by hand, dats why I got a hammer-action M-Audio 88key midi so I still feel like im playing on a piano, and no program is wack, if you a GOOD producer, u should be able to make tight track on any software or hardware...period!!

  • Either way it goes you're using software, just on different hardware. The user friendliness of the software may be different but it's the same. Keyboards are basically just computers now and the operating system it runs is the software. You could run a Triton emulator on a PC and have the exact same capabilities as the "hardware" you're talking about but it's still "software".

  • Can you tell me what are the names of the sounds u used in this vid?

  • whats also annoying from hendrix,he thinks he know,s music programs by saying cubase(top of the foodchain)is ight, and logic is sick, well hendrixx, nuendo(big brother of cubase)check that out, hendrix his opinion of music programs i respect ,but diss any program is lame!the artist behinds it let it sound wack!so dont blame music programs ,BLme ya goddam self

  • TRUE SAID

  • WHAT?

  • You know what nigga? I can't see shit you are doing... That is showing off. Not showing me shit...NIGGA!

  • fuck reason!unless your @ the bottom starting,or if you on reason and dont know what cubase or fl studio or logic is

  • cubase is aiight, Logic is Siick!, FL studio is the bottom of the bottom if ur just startin out.. its garbage tho. REASON, man.. some pros are usin it, like Babu from Dilated Peoples/Beat junkies. .....and the way hes using the Re-Drum in the wack way saying "Hes usin it like an MPC" if he was using it like an MPC he'd be usin that Trigger Finger and doing beats to the metronome. which im sure he does. but i normally dont track my drums like that unless i had a real Roland 808 you know?

  • you cant say fl studio is wack,9th wonder and manymany others use it,its a fact that with every program you can make pro music,so its not on you to say that fl is wack, cause 9th is signed you not!!means he makes better beats then you!!so accept it,plus fl studio aint the bottom, that means you didnt check what els is on the market, you only can say about reason babu is on it?what about dj khaled ?he uses it to.but anyway you opinion sound more like your a amature!

  • I've made this argument before to someone. Yes i know 9th wonder uses FL.. 9th wonder is one of my fav producers.. he rocks it! And i started out using FL STUDIO but i had to go out and dig for actual good drums cuz FL stock drums and synths are horrible.., then i used logic which have really good stock drums, now im using Reason which also has great stock synths and drums but i still loaded the shit out of it with elite drums.. and now im about to buy my MPC2500..

  • I've got all my MPC4000 sounds loaded into fl studio

  • I'd say software is no where close to HARDWARE. period. so basically software in general is Wack.. and i've used Reason, FL studio, Logic, and alittle of Ableton. all in all, its what ever you're comfortable with. I like 9th and Babu.. 9th has the soulful shit and babu has that rugged hiphop sound with cuts.

  • plus i prefer 9th wonder beats over dj babu anyway,dj babu does ducks in his songs,9th wonder does soul in his songs,so make a 9th style beat on fl ,then come back and say fl is wack :D

  • tick!! lol man... but good job!

  • the tick? you mean hi hat! this is exactly why music sucks these days. also the reason way people are stealing it because it aint worth paying for.

  • wut? you mean if someone doesn't know how an instrument is called his whole music's gonna suck balls?

  • RE-DRUM, thats the proper way to say it PLLAYYA. B)

  • redrum is nothing like an mpc.....its more like an 808...just a litte bit of a difference...maybe...but still a nice re-creation

  • Message ill get fl studio free

    XD

  • beats hot as shit

  • i like your setup that ish is nice... i use reason fl studio and my axiom 49...

  • Red DRum Red DRum Mrs. Torrance. Danny's not here Mrs. Torrance. Red Drum! shew weee. He should sample his vocals and then do something with that. that would sound much better.

  • wtf..?

  • damn your good with the piano.

  • i'm very curious about something, why the fuck are you posting up shit about how to make a beat thats already made? i don't get you people. what is the point, post a beat that you made thats hot, you don't get cred for this bullshit.

  • Where's your "hot beat" Mr. hater? Post a link or shut the fuck up.

  • round of applause for Mr. tough guy. he's so fucking macho. and how am i hating if i'm making a good point you dumbshit? if you think this is useful, go and post up some shit about teaching cats how to rhyme like Lil Wayne. and on the video all you do is rhyme and spit like Wayne. it wouldn't make sense right? you would say go get your own style and make something out of that. you must be one of those dickheads who mimics everyone elses style and try to take cred. fuck you

  • Its a tutorial homeboy

  • What kind of setup do you have to use in order to be able to split your screens using one for the sequencer like you did?

  • Not bad at all....I been using Propellerhead Reason since 2000....But the last time I check...I believe the drum device was called Re-Drum......

  • lol @ red drum :)

    but nice beat though

check out my scott storch style beats i made with reason sometime!

    str8 bangers.

    P'z

  • lol RED-DRUM...its Re-DRUM

  • uuhh on crack crack cra cra crack

  • Damn... hahahah... SHIT.... IM FROM ECUADOR... SOUTH AMERICA... N... shit man.. I HAVE DA SAME DESK than he does... HAHAHAHAHA... n im a beat producer 2... hahaha... this is stupid... ahhaha.. nice beat dogg..

  • What's the name of that song????

  • You ain't know By little wayne

  • Thanx whoodie,

    appreciatin' it.

    Peace

  • Hej, nice work to show people how to work with reason, At least, a kind off. ghehe.

Check out my beat if you want called: Making Of Arabian beat: -- Down With EA --.

One love. Keep up the good work

  • man this is whack...

u make a video to show us how to rip a beat man

think about it, i'm sure u can make good beats but stop stealin beats brotha!!

  • if u know anything about making music u would known that mimicking a beat is one of the most difficult things to do.

So dont blabla unless u know what the menn is realy doing.

  • Copying beats is not difficult.

I'm still laughing at his calling it "red rum."

  • trying to recreate a beat IS difficult Lil Jons probaly no Timbalands...yes depends on which producer/beat your trying to recreate.

  • maybe if the beat is sampled then that would be true cuz the parts might be crazy like taking a jazz pianist part and tryin to play that, but a storch beat, come on, that shit is retarded to make in the first place let alone copy.

  • It is pretty easy. Do you have any beats posted I can check out?

  • do u anything but reason i like does m-audio monitors and u did a gudd vid and ppl sayin b original u still gotta have talent 2 create a scott starch beat so tell em 2 stop hating bcuz day cant do it bud gud vid

  • Good tutorial, but I agree with DaWarrior..."Do ya own beats!" This is why everything sound the fuckin' same -- be original. I REMEMBER WHEN NIGGAS GOT DISSED FOR BITIN! RESPECT HIP HOP!

  • good work man !

  • Awesome ;)

  • Thank you so much. Your videos very very informative and inspiring. :) Keep up the good work, now i gotta work onmy beats ;)

  • lol jus get the midi file nd ur sussd

  • its RE-drum lol not red-rum ... nice ass shit tho

  • i think he said redr um :p

  • Check the Propellerhead Website. It's Red Rum.

  • "Redrum (pronunciation: "ree-druhm") is the name of the virtual hardware drum machine."

    Sure.

  • nice video

just one thing on the drums

there is a snare ur missing rite after the last boom clap...listen to the beat close an ull hear it

  • thats alright really, and thats the m-audio trigger right? more over, that is the LARGEST cap i have ever seen. mesmerizing, i had to watch the tutorial seven times before i even noticed the studio around it, let alone the dude, goddamn it...

  • doin good keep it up!!!
