Chevrolet has typically had an excellent suspension history, geometry wise not spring rate and dampening wise. I've never ever seen a GM product with the dreaded semi-rear trailing arm setup like some German cars. Aside from saying that I don't think the Cadillacs look all that great when compared to other new models from other manufacturers.
I think the M5 is a great car, but it is overpriced, and the performance of it's current V10 should be better. BMW enthusiasts are expecting 550hp to 580hp, so even if it is more powerful, it's price should be adjusted.
yes...a new m5 (2008)costs about 90.000E but u can buy one from 2005 around 40.000E.and btw he is over priced but its one of the best looking car on the market and lastly...its a sedan :)
This CTS-V is a direct competitor to the M5, as Cadillac is working on a 3 series, A4, and MB C class competitor, and a 7 series, A8, and s class competitor. You can see concept drawings for these cars. This car is strategically priced in relation to it's competition and on top of that, a worthy competitor.
well hp is good and all, but when considering the weight to hp ratio the m3 and m5 are pretty damn similar, so id think comparing it to either one is pretty damn good. American cars are the way to go baby!

RS6 has 5 litre V10 TwinTurbo,
so i think 507 hp for a 5 litre V10 is very good.
But the next M5 will have the Twin Turbo V8 like the X5 M and X6 M
