Thanks for this video because America is going to miss out on this fan. So it takes 3.3 amps and the new model only takes 1.4 amps. I bet it's 350watts compared to the new 174w. BUT I bet it moves a lot more air. I have a 30 year old Sears similar one. There's never been a problem with the giant plastic blade; a allen inner nut is used to hold the blade to the shaft. It has oil holes and the new 5w30 oil lasts more than double time. We "burned out" low speed because the window was shut.
This one is different compared to the one I've seen on amazon. The blades look more round and the motor is mounted to the front. Either way I wonder how this would compare to my Lakewood.
Those are great fans. Where I used to work at. My boss bought eight of these in 1995. I installed them in the windows in the shop and they are still running today. They are dirty but they run like new.
My god, that's one big fan! I love the metallic sound on it. The only problem with one that big is that it's hard to find a window large enough to fit one of those. The windows in my house are barely big enough to fit my 20" box fan, and that's a tight squeeze.
ha ha logan your so young in that video, by the way i made a youtube account today!

Nice find! I got a vintage box fan that I use on my window that was made by Lakewood.

Hey Logan, is that a metal blade or a plastic blade?

It's a plastic blade with a metal hub inside it.

I got your point earlier on those fans. These might be the only "good" Air Kings built around about this time.

It is amazing how people thrown away a perfectly good fan just because it's "old."
