Its funny that the video games, comic books, graphic novels & even the action figures got it right. While I like the 1st AVP movie, I didn't like the 2nd one, although the Predalien was cool.
The dialogues were zipping because we were hitting the buttons to make them skip to get right back to fighting since we have seen it before! If you pause, you can see what they are saying.
You mean the evil marines attacking us? They are trying to stop us (the good guys) from discovering and interrupting their plans (experimenting aliens as weapons).

@karmasixx We were trying to play on one credit using modified live/credit on max difficulty playing online. It is a bit of a challenge but it was fun at the time. Lynn is a pixie character, so she needs to be used a bit carefully. The other characters on the other hand are ranged so they can rush in the middle of things and do more work naturally. Also in the character attributes, Lynn’s power is the weakest of all while everyone else is has power; she has the highest skill of all however.
@SuperKiroChan It's just me.... but when I use her solo, I find her pretty easy to use especially when you get the disc. Sometimes I just use the disc for the whole stage without being touched... not good for the alien queen though. You're good at the slide into beam combo I must say..
@Urza26 Thanks! I never really played solo, but that is pretty good using the disc without being touched. Seems this is not possible in multi with the aliens spawning from behind often and might catch you during the recovery time of the throw - but I think it could be cancelled out with the desperation move to save yourself at least than to take the hit.
The slide combos was fun for me using the move cancels to get the specials in. I like doing the full punch combo with leg launch as well.
@SuperKiroChan what I found useful when using the disc is to throw it.. then face the *other way*and move a bit or hit just a couple of times with fists or spear/nagikata, then be just on time to stop attacking to retrieve the disc. It takes a bit of practice and timing, but is no harder to do than the slide into beam that you do (which I know but can't execute it as consistently as you).
@Urza26 I was using an emulator too (which is MAME) using the Kaillera version to play online on the PC. Since you mentioned you had difficulty doing the slide -> beam, I was wondering if you using the keyboard or gamepad controller to play because it will make a difference and I was using a gamepad. Playing online is another as it takes a bit of adapting because of the button lag of playing online where the player's actions does not happen instantly which is dependent the ping of the server.
@Urza26 Oh I see. They keyboard limits what you can really do as cannot press multiple keys at the sametime. If you have a chance to get a gamepad, you would be abel to play fully. I used the Saitek P880 to play all the emulated games on PC. It seems like Saitek has continued making gamepads for the PC, so I am not sure what other brands make good gamepads as this one can handle button mashing inputs where the cheap gamepads cannot handle it as it locks up or not respond to the input.
How could they miss the chance to remake or release this game on PSN or XBLA with online multi-player with the release of Predators!, wow what a stupid movie by Capcom and the Producers!

@SuperKiroChan they might, for x-box 360's live. They just did so recently with the X-men arcade games, and they did it before with the TMNT arcade games. From what I hear they plan to release the avengers arcade too. Wiht a little luck microsoft will give the go ahead for this title too.

Lin (the girl) can kill the queen really easily by standing below the queen then jump stright up and do the stap move (down+P).
Do it on the right spot and she won't touch the ground again for the whole fight : )
