hey, im new to this whole universe of warhammer, but i plan on starting up the tabletop soon, and these tutorials are deeply helpful when it comes to techniques, great job
Holy crap, that is a lot of layers of paint !! And to do that for an entire army would take a normal person over six months to a year to do it justice. My next project (after my Dark Eldar are finished) will be White Scars - so this will come in handy.
@BerryBoysen If you're just starting out, welcome to the hobby! After purchasing and assembling these miniatures, you can paint them however you want! There are some color schemes for certain official "Chapters" but the choice is all yours!

@TheCitrusGames It's probs one of the helmets from one of the miniatures in the Assault on Black Reach set, as you can see on the shoulder pad and the gun placement, but if you'd like one of those helmets separately, you should buy some of the Grey Knights, the ones introduced in april, if i remember correctly.
wow your amazing . I could never do that. I play chaos space marines. the hardes't one to paint was the chaos space marine sorccerer with inforcer sword
Your washes always seem to go on so smoothly. Whenever I use a black wash on any of my miniatures they always get stained. How can I prevent washes from staining my figures?
You should definitly comment at the same time your doing your paint jobs there fantastic and by commenting on your videos while painting if you know what i mean could really help people understand why your putting like so many coats does it do a nice shading effect etc like i see you painting but i would like to know more of what to paint with the specific color etc just a idea it could really help more people especially a dumbo like me :P
which colors are used ? and what do the 3 colors at the beginning mean : Codex Grey, Fortress Grey, Skull White ? Thanks for this great tutorial! wish I could print it out xD
@Extremehalofan14 dont know what brushes les is using for this one but the ones i use are Windsor Newton Series 7, 000 is the smalest i have and that is tiny. the ones only ones i use are 000, 00, 0 ,1 and 2, all i need,.
Thank you for posting this video!! it's great: very informative and easy to follow. Just a general question, what style helmet does this model have? Thanks again.
hey i was wondering if i painted a space marine a different colour from the old blue thing like if i were to paint it black with green trim would that make any difference like make it less powerful?
This is really helpful. Been dreaming of doing a Chaos Space Marine army in all white. They are ghosts so I wanted to give them a sort of ethereal look to them. I was scared to death of doing white. I'm not so scared anymore. Gonna give this a try and see what happens. Thanks, you're the man.

@Sickomorvus If you've tried diluting and using more coats without success, my best suggestion (which is the one someone should have given you a long time ago I suspect) is to use a softer bristle. Soft bristles won't show brush strokes as much. :)
@LairoTaiyoukai lol who is using hard bristle brushes? Unless you are using the white handle Testors brushes with the thick black plastic bristles they are all soft. Natural hair and synthetic brush technology are pretty matched now a days. So even if you buy the cheap pack of 10 synthetic brushes at Michaels, you should not have problems. If you dilute 1:1 you should not have stroke marks, unless you are not letting previous coats dry entirely.
Not quite true. There is a significant difference still. Camel hair to horse hair is a huge difference. Hog hair is bloody rough. If you go to a proper art shop they'll have brushes of all sizes and hair types. I find most synthetic brushes have really hard bristles and don't hold paint very well... I like using the real brushes.

@xXDISCOMONK naturally I'm going to say White Scars because

2. I'm sick of constantly seeing Ultramarines on the gaming table.
But its personal preference.
