2:47. does anyone know how he is tapping the harmonic and making it ring out without even hammering the fret or picking the string.

i get how he does the very first tap harmonic. but when that one dies he doesnt re pick the string or hammer on. he just taps the harmonic again. i dunno how he does it. anyone?

@MariosGuy If I'm getting what you're talking about then I'm pretty sure he's tapping 12 frets above the note (ex tapping the 17th fret while fretting the 5th fret). Andy Timmons has a Betcha Can't Play This segment from guitarworld that's on youtube where he uses/explains that technique.

@mike8008 Paul Gilbert does have exellent fingers for guitar playing, If u play guitar - or any instrument that reqires the use of fingers, you automaticly notice if the player has nice fingers, i.e. to play his instrument. This is like commenting on a boxer who has long arms, which gives him longer reach, and thus an advantage to some degree. Peace

What I find most awsome about Paul Gilbert, except that he is Paul Gilbert of course, is that in this kind of instructional DVD's you can see that he is having alot of fun. Other guitarists look like this is just a stupid chore the producers forced down their throat. Paul Gilbert actually looks like he is having a great time!
