i'm listening to this album over and over at the moment, it is alot better than his last album, it's nearly as good as the likes of Darktown, yes a strong claim I know!
Sounds like yet another classic Steve Hackett album. They just keep getting better, particularly since Roger King joined the band as Keyboard player and Producer/Engineer. Pre-order it at Hackettsongs as soon as it's listed, and get a signed copy. I will be. Looking forward to the UK tour in November too. And if all that isn't enough, there's a live DVD (Shepherd's Bush) and a documentary about Steve coming soon too. It's gonna be a good year!!!
Sounds like another winner in my book. Everything that music should be; an expression of human experiences and emotion which then is captured and portrayed within the music. I will be buying it the day it is released. Please make sure that you return to the US. In particular metro D.C. area to play for your number one student; me.
The Tunnel album was you at your electric best, and I caught the full electric band last summer in the States. Your leads send chills up my spine. Can't wait for you to return, and now we have this new gift from you. Can't wait to get my hands on it, my ears into it and my head around it.
I'm glad the vocals sound a little more lively this time. For all the great reviews of the last offering, the rock vocal for me needed a tad more bite. For lovers of music buy this new cd.Steve has never put out anything not to be proud of.You may have to listen a few times to get it and a hundred just to make sure your alive!
Bob Seger? Maybe Pete Seeger? The bit that was playing did remind me more of "Big Muddy" than "Fire Lake." The harmonies and chords made my hair stand up. Great sound!
Way-stations - he must have read The Dark Tower.
