Blindside lyrics were also so much more praise and worship than those praise songs written specifically for public singing. the intensity, the honesty always got me.

Love this song. I don't like how they used this song to portray it the way they did though. It is about a relationship with Christ and about how He never gave up on those he loves. But I grew up with alcoholic parents, and in result started getting drunk at an early age. It turned into doing drugs, until I started selling drugs to people I knew through high school. But The Lord never gave up on me. :)

The video is about an alcoholic father who neglects his son and one day, he completely loses it when he finds the by watching him drink by the door and hits him (1:34, the boy has his left eye black), drinking more and passing out on the sofa

But the boy had too much and grabbed his stuff and ran away from the place, to a huge forest where he finds himself lost and scared, meanwhile, his father had already woken up and found the room empty, which made him realize what he did and called mother.

When she appeared, he told her that their son was gone, which is why she screamed and punched him repeatedly. Then he asked for help from the police and gave them a picture of the boy, and when he's back home, he decides to quit drinking.

The boy, though, climbed a tree like many when everyone was looking for him.

So, this video talks about problems that lead to fear, but also regret and redemption, and how a person can easily lose itself by hiding away from the world and push everyone away.

So correct me if I am wrong if tell me if I am correct.This video is about a man looking back on his life when he was just a "boy" and he feels sad now because deep down he feels as if he has lost the feeling(s) he once permantly held until his life changed when he turned old.

I believe he feels remorse because the pictures hint that he turned into an alcholic and/or drug user and his life became full of sorrow.

The boy and the alcoholic are two different characters.. father and son. The video shows how people hide themselves from their failures, their pain and their past (ppl on trees). The video tells this story and the lyrics are about God ("the sun") changing your pain to joy ("every drop of rain turns to crystal in the sun"). It expresses that God is always present and that we are not forgotten. Pain fades as we focus on God.

Deserves a better video... I consider it one of the best songs ever written, so that's inevitable. It seems whoever made the video wasn't confident enough to let the song go full length, since they cut out the 2nd verse... And the song conjures up so much other great imagery.
