Thanks for watching this video. Since I couldn't use a single Elvis song for a sound track I just spliced together these 30 second clips. It's one of the things I enjoy about it the most. He had so many great songs!
@jbjumpback - He really did know poverty first-hand. One of my favorite songs is his version of "Walk A Mile in My Shoes". Just about everything he sang he seemed to have a personal connection with. He felt what he sang about.
I am the ultimate E fan! Been to the Mother Church many times. Nice tour. Memphis is no (JK) either great food and the best musicians on the planet!!!
@shibby1965 - Hey, i went to the 25 year anniversay concert at the Pyramid arena in Memphis (2002) and got to hear the TCB band (minus John Wilkinson) and couldn't believe how amazing they were. The whole concert blew me away. He attracted great musicians. They wanted to be a part of what he created, especially on stage.
@Sumkidnameddj - so, you gotta go too! Memphis is where it all started! Go see his little two room house in Tupelo (it's a couple of hours away). It will show you how poor he was as kid, THEN go see the mansion he bought when was about 22 years old!
GREAT. I visited Graceland in 2005. It was a privelage to visit Elvis´ home.

@GoalHornDude - that would be "Heartbreak Hotel", Elvis' first number one hit after signing with RCA in 1955. The song was released in Jan. of 1956.

@NoFretGuitar "Heartbreak Hotel" was the first Elvis single released by RCA and it went to #1.

Humble beginnings kept Elvis humble.
His humility was the most attractive about him.
After touring Graceland I asked my wife...
"What was it that Elvis had?"
"Everything", was her answer.
