Your implication that governement should leave the people alone is NOT what our constitution states. In North Korea the generals mak the decisions regarding the military but who decides when to go to war? Kim does!

A great book by a right wing guy, a brilliant one: Allan Bloom - The closing of the american mind. This shoul elighten you, and help you get rid of this 10 year old kid's way of thinking. Whoever made this up simply assigns most bad forms of government to the Left (Fascism, Communism, Socialism, Nazism) without really defining terms, the same issue he accused others of (!). So here the viewer immediately is led to believe anyone on the Left conforms to one of the above systems, which is a clever but typical propagandist trick. He then goes on to describe moderates, briefly showing Reagan as such, when in fact Reagan is an Icon to the Far Right. Amazing...
That is not true. The creator of this video did not assign any form of government or person to either the left or the right. As it continues and preceded to say that there is no real left or right gov'ts. He had only placed the gov'ts as to where they would be seen by todays traditional views.
Compared to Lenin I agree I'm a Reagan conservative and sort of like Kennedy he seemed to carry some similar principles as Reagan. Though I am only a 17 year old kid so maybe my foolishness is showing through with this statement.
They are really complete opposites although it would be difficult to tell from listening to today's liberals. At the same time I think Kennedy is turning over in his grave if he hears what he created in current insane liberals.

America was the first ever to GIVE POWER TO THE PEOPLE.
an oligarchy RULES OVER YOU - people are subjects
we are US citizens with rights given to us by our creator that can't be taken away by ANYONE, NOT EVEN GOVERNMENT.
Our constitution lists and protects our rights. it also LIMITS government.
we get to work and keep the fruits of our labor.
we have freedom of speech, religion and freedom to roam in our country

I am currently deeply involved in a 12 part course to awaken the American mind.
That was very interesting about Gadamer. And it is the challenge of bringing difficult issues to a society so numb to thinking.
I think I have this solved at least for my project.
The real challenge is our founding fathers were well versed scholars and men of deep thought.
The people in Washington are just cronies...
