@anoldmage Because what's really happening is the oil acts as a heat sink. The oil maximizes the surface area that can be used, so it's more effective than any heatsink.

not really. it does absorb the heat but temps still don't drop as much as you would hope.
Helps spread the heat around, essentially cooling all the parts.
