hmm.. so people still have hope that they can speed up vista huh? yeah may be ..may be good for watching movies and listening songs but when software developer tools or games come in action ...vista fackin ' sucks ..the fan rotates fast and PC kinda heats up and laptops go through even much worse they ..most of the time crash/ auto shut down ..my friend runs XP in 512 ram (rocks) and me running vista , 2 gb ram , core 2 duo ( suckssss)

Wanna make vista fast... add two raid0 or raid5 hdd's, faster the rpm, larger cache and read write speed the better the performance (best upgrade I've ever done). Or get an ssd or two (WITH TRIM FEATURE ...in raid0 of course) mine boots faster than hell and games are smooth as glass including online/multiplayer, add more ram ...and get a new OS cause Vista is a resource hog. This having to shut shit off for better performance is for the fucking birds

@danieldvs100 If you replace the hard drive with the OS installed on you will have to reinstall windows because theres new files. If you just put an extra in, it should just add more space

use a flash drive hell use 6 of them flashys is almost as fast as SSD which is faster than ram 667mhz remember usb 1.0 is limet and so is 2.0 i believe its about 12 MB/s of 1.0 and 54Mb/s idk off the top of my head google it. and adjust to the speed i.e 1.0 is only 12mb/s so how much cache do you need for optimal performance is it 12 is it 24 multiple well it depends of your FSB and your tic cycle of ram like me i run unbalance ram @ 667 tick at 4 4 4 12 and how is going to cycle OoP Interupts

you should add some ram to your system as your rating is only 2, my lowest rate is 5.5 and it flies compared to what you are running.

if you put 4gig you will notice a vast improvement,

this is a common problem I see on 90% of the pc's I fix/upgrade (approx 10 per week)
