  • With all the information out there do people still relaxed their hair every 6 weeks ?

  • Hi shima, I had stopped using relaxer since last spring of march 2011 and now my hair is growing but how long will it take my hair to grow? What about bald spot?? Does it work for bald spot ??

  • hi shima, I'm actually new to your channel and I'll like to know if natural people can also use your products or is it only for those with relaxers? By-the-way you're hair is gorgeous.

  • @cfoxy3 Yes, both relaxed and Natural Hair textures can use my products:)

  • I have not had a perm now since june 29th and i'm doing fine. I might do one in may of 2012.

  • @thelostgirl007 its not tht... its just my ends. everything else is fine except my ends. even when i try to moisturize them, they still seem dry n brittle. =(

  • can you make a video on how to detangle hair the rite way?on wet and dry hair

  • you have such a beautiful spirit shima!! i'm all natural and i'm looking forward to buying your hairline creme, oil and leave in conditioner!! because of you i'm bunning my hair more!!! looking forward to retaining length.

  • I remember stretching my relaxer for 6 months or longer..... I was shopping around for a new hair stylist since the last one effed up my bangs >_>

Thanks Shima for coming out with the Shima hair oil If you never came out with you're hair products I would still be using really bad hair products. My hair has grown alot for the past year :)

  • Six months or seven is my time line. Your right about the stretching.

  • shima have you reached your hair goal or are you going for even longer? i'm just curious. :)

  • @xxwoofykinsxx Even though I'm already at booty length it is still at my upper "Butt Cheeks" and I want my hairlength to reach BELOW my butt cheeks:):)

  • I haven't relaxed my hair in 20 plus weeks. Is there such thing as stretching too long?

  • @MrsSmithsince08 Excellent question!! My best advice to you is to stretch past the standard 6 to 8 week period and then after that only YOU KNOW how much of your New Growth you can handle. I can handle my New growth which comes out Super THICK up to the 9 month level.

  • You are so right Shima, it's better to stretch your relaxer touch ups. I'm 16 weeks post relaxer and plan on going 8 months. The winters are very cold here in Wisconsin, so I decided not to relax and manipulate my hair at all. I'm keeping my hair in box braids and moisturized with my Shima Oil. I can't wait to see how much my hair has grown when I relax my hair in the spring!! (Your Shima Girl Ana C.)

  • Shima you don't know how brave you are coming up here with your long hair, you don't how many jealous haters out there that are very, very, very jealous of you. Especially in the BLACK COMMUNITY! Thank you for your courage Thank you for you courage and knowledge on something that you are good at and sharing it with everybody!

  • I understand stretching yes..but everytime my hair needs a perm, my hair starts to fall out. That's normal right? And with that problem still stretch?

  • @AngellieIsABeaaastx3 What you should do is try to implement garlic or sulfur. that will help you keep the shedding to a minimum. I tried unscented Garlic shampoo and it helped me stretch until my hair had grown out enough to the point where the shedding I was seeing while stretching stopped. My last relaxer was in march of this year. Hope that helped.

  • cont. please post a video addressing this issue? im desperate n i dont kno wat to do anymore. =( much thanks n love -3

  • um... ive been having this problem with my ends for months... i experimented with tons of products n i trimmed my ends n everything... but my ends keep breaking. i made sure my ends were moisturized... when it needed a protein treatment i gave it one... like i said i even trimmed my ends. i did hot oil treatments n deep conditioning treatments... i dont wanna do a big chop but what other choice do i have? short hair was NEVER my forte... but it seems like im headed tht way... Shima, can u pleas

  • @TheKeKe313 If the issue you have is that your hair is breaking where the relaxed meets the natural then the thing that helped me was garlic. I used the unscented garlic shampoo and it stopped my hair loss instantly. I used it for a few months and that cut it out. the reason why is because the hair is weaker at that line so babying that part is crucial. It's also harder. Try the garlic shampoo. It will help, i promise.

  • when i used to relax, i would relax as soon as i see that little "hump" of new growth coming in. and my hair was jacked up with breakage, damage, and chemical burns to the scalp. big no no!!! listen to shima!!

  • I'm currently on my 6th month stretch. I'm contemplating going natural or at least getting a texturizer. The stretch isn't going as bad as I thought it would be.

  • @TiffyBear Go natural :)

  • @AngelicAcid453 I second that!
