I worked on the flt deck in Navy for years. This pilot was hotdogging, way low, and way fast. He was not instructed to land a helo on a deck of a ship that way at all. He was doing it HIS WAY which unfortunately took the lives of some good men.

that isnt a marine trying to jump out. The crew chief always has his head sticking out of the chopper when landing or taking off, he would alert the pilot of any dangers. Of course in this situation, there was no time to say anything.

This Ch-46 Seaknight accident happened 12/9/9 It crashed while attempting to land on the Navy tanker PECOS during a training exercise. The chopper's landing gear apparently snagged a metal safety net and the helicopter flipped over into the water and sank. Eleven Marines were rescued by SEALS, six Marines and a sailor drowned. In Navy slang, the CH-46 Seaknight Helicopter is called the "Whistling Shit Can of Death". I kid you not.
