This IS one of my favourite songs but I'll be honest and say for the first half the guitartist ruined it! It sounded bloody awful with his stupid wailing over it. It didn't add anything to the song whatsoever but took away a great deal.

I agree with all superlatives about this majestic song - it's truly fantastic. However, it has been misquoted twice in the comments here. It should be ( line 7 & 8):

I was there too! Awesome gig, shame most of the audience were there for Kasabian and were middle class yobs, you can hear everyone talking through the whole song!

I was there that night! Along with Trains To Brazil I was hoping they would perform this and it was absolutely out of this world. I had taken a friend from Work with me, she hadn't heard much of their stuff before so she went in pretty much open to hearing some new music and walked out at the end claiming they were better than Kasabian!! I also saw them 5 days later at the Astoria and they were just as good!!

This was the climax of the best live experience of my life when I saw them perform this at the Brighton Corn Exchange, it's just the most incredible thing to see a band like Guillemots performing at their very best, i wish I could have been at the electric proms.

I can't believe there aren't more comments...This was one of the most thrilling performances i have ever watched on tv. This is more like it! exactly what the electric proms should be, I would have given the world to have been there. Fyfe and the whole band did a beautiful job and gave the performance of a life time..this song will give me chills for ever. Glorious!
