i was told there used to be a iron foundary by the black bull in aintree, i've also been told its about the grand national (horses hooves) does anyone know what the aintree iron is?

To this DAY Mike McCartney (Mike McGear) has never revealed what he meant by the term "Aintree iron". He said he still gets a kick by people trying to guess what he meant, even after 40+ years!
