i luv it....definitely...i would've loved a much more jazzy sound in the actualy style of your singing...but its cool..still very nice. and i luv the high key much better....but this was good for you :)
i agree a bit over exagerating...it was a bit too boring to watch him, listening was fine but i just couldnt watch. plus, its probably better cuz its in a lower key than its originally written. any tenor/baritone can sing it in this key. i dont mean to knock the performance, this guys really good but seriously not broadway bound. a pop singer maybe, but if they had to lower the key for him...no way broadway
ok i watched some of his other stuff and hes actually pretty damn good...but obviously this one wasnt his best. but i do agree he definately has potential
D: As a bass, I seriously resent that statement. I personally loved the key change of this song. It made a song I've never been able to sing, but wanted to, singable. Also, this guy is in high school, so it's pretty impressive.
I used to think my boyfriend had the greatest voice ever... nope! You're fantastic. Amazing singing and your acting wasn't half bad either! Congratulations on the great performance!
You voice stunned me. I was not expecting such an amazing voice out of a high schooler. Most of the guys at my high school are... well not as good for sure.
I would work on more motions, but the faciel expressions are good.
Really nice voice quality. I've seen like 6 Millie productions in the past year or two and your voice is definitely up there with the really great Jimmys. Very old-time voice, it's soothing.
Voice range is a little low, but it doesn't really matter so much. You have a nice voice, and the beginning - in terms of vocal quality, facial expressions, and movement - was fantastic, but you could use a more variety of movements and facial expressions after that... the pacing back and forth on the stage can get a little redundant. You have a lot of potential though, and of course, nothing can be developed without studying and practice. Good luck!
it is a little low. but the beginning was incredible. you have an amazing voice. just work on the transitions and the timing and such and you'll have it nailed. and be a little more charming. dont just pace back and forth really use the stage for what its worth.!
Yes, but it is related, and I want people to see it. Obviously Gavin wasn't singing at the Mount Vernon High School May Fiesta, but nobody is going to search that, are they?
Hm, the key is lowerd from the origional...but still pretty good I suppose. :D We're doing Thoroughly Modern Millie this year for our school play..woot.
Great ending! The beginning was a little pitchy, though. Everything corrected itself during the bridge. Otherwise, it was a good performance (I'd vote for you on Idol)...
Not sure if it would be *better* for his voice, but I'd still like to hear the G at the end instead of an F. With the whole song lowered a whole step, there isn't as much energy or charge to the song...
I love this show and I love this song. For some reason I was watching this whole thing waiting to see if he would hit the note at the end and WOWZA...he sure put a lot into that. Yay Joe! Many tips.
xD
our Jimmy was named Joe, too! i'm like... oh! Joe!! haha it wasn't himmm

eh, pacing back and forth...not so great. could use more energy and engagement with the audience but overall good pitch and a nice tone!

Sadly I haven't found any clips with a good version of this yet. some are OK, like this one, but I don't like the octave.

talent like that is highly unappreciated. Your vocal quality is lovley, but you need more facial expression and movement.

Lol, I've done this song, and I was listening to this going..."Hmm, this sounds low" But it's a rough fit for most people, so I don't blame him!

i really adore your voice.
it's so perfect for this song.
but i would have liked to see you do more with your body, and be more flexable, instead of just standing there.

He makes a great jimmy, he has the same tone to his voice. He seems like he could addapt to any role with ease.
