  • If and when Obama becomes a one-term president it will be because he over-promised and under-delivered -- not because he believed in any principle.

  • A pussy? Maybe.

  • Robert Gibbs is lying everytime his lips move...does anyone believe the smegma he spews? He's not even good at spinning it, he exudes incompetance, if you want to learn about spin Mr Gibbs, watch Keith Obermann you feg~!

  • Another way this can play out is to IMPEACH.OBAMA.NOW. There are plenty of people who voted for this arrogant loser who wish they hadn't.

  • one term or not, if this country CAN NOT work together then were fucked!!!!

  • Obama how about doing this country a really big favor and be a "ONE YEAR PRESIDENT," and resign today.

  • Who else thinks that Obama will be a one term President ?

Is he doing a Good job ?

  • @Roadracer987654321 he will be a 1 term president. he is ruining america and many ways.he trying to do his best in his own mind and not america

  • With Gibbs, he has a better chance at being a one term president.

Obama will need a better spinner than that. maybe Anderson Cooper?

  • Dream on.

  • come on obama america is rooting against you you socialist cunt

  • Obama will be a 1 term president with or without health care

  • That' s because someone will assassinate him. Because your country is full of lunatics.

  • HEALTH CARE NOW OR NEVER. Come on Obama!! We're rooting for you. I wish America realise what's good for it.

  • I wish you would realize that Obama doesn't care about what's good for us. He cares about what's good for Obama, and that's more money.

  • Then why not take the bribes of the insurance companies and kill Health Care?

  • Yes I get my weekly checks from the insurance company to protest Health care, jeez! Do you really think those of us protesting Obama's health care legislation really work or the insurance company? We just have a much different view of how the United States should function than you and our current President do.

  • Yes we know your compassion only gos as far as your belief in heaven and hell so real social issues on earth dont matter to you because you will be going to this imaginary place called heaven when you die so you can be subservient to an invisible sky daddy in the afterlife as you were on earth. Because of your willingness to believe in invisible sky daddy it makes it easier for people you see with authority convince you Americas best interests are of the devil.

  • I'm just an Easter and Christmas churchgoer. Nowhere in my statement did I mention anything about assuming God would take care of all our social ills on this planet. I am just convinced from previous data that what the democrats in congress are doing is going to make life worse for everyone in the United States even if they mean well. John Stossel did a report that highlights some possible good fixes you should watch it. Labeling people you disagree with like you did with me is wrong.

  • So he admits the American people don't want it, and won't re-elect him if he does it, but that makes him noble for doing what we don't want?

  • I don't think Obama sees himself as noble for lying to everyone and fucking over the progressives who got him into office; like all politicians he sees it as expedient to his income. He can't come out and say "yes, of course I'm nothing but a tool of the insurance industry, how could you ever think differently" because nobody's allowed to admit to reality in washington. this is why he must die.

  • you can't say that obama will lose out to republicans because of insurance companies pulling out on him and then say he's backed by the insurance companies who, knowing his policies, would never have backed him in the first place.

i don't doubt for a second he is backed by the insurance companies and other companies ad infinitum. the reality is after looking at it a long time the insurance companies will win in either case......

  • Obama's "policies" as espoused during the election have turned out to be completely untrue.

  • George H.W. Bush knew that he would be a one-term president over the tax increases he gave in to.

  • and that is just what i whould expect from a man of such high moral convictions like obama do what is right and your political future will not suffer but only gather strength right is might!

  • Then I guess it's kind of silly for Obama and the dems to keep going around the country blaming republicans and other groups for this thing not having been passed. No one is stopping them except themselves. I guess they need some straw men to beat on later though.

  • It's not about straw men, it's about money. If Obama, Pelosi, and the Democratic Party install a single payer healthcare payment system, they will immediately and permanently lose campaign contributions from the private insurance industry. That money will go to Republicans. because this country's political system is predicated on a system of campaign financing which allows the existence of private funding, no meaningful reform will be passed until that is eliminated. either that or beheadings.

  • And so we need a constitutional convention to propose the follwing amendments: 1. Make the arrangement of congressional districts the responsibility of an independent commission like that which organizes presidential debates in order to eliminate packed, noncompetetive districts which allow for lifetime incumbency 2. remove all private money from campaign finance and place contributions into a common pool from which all candidates draw equally. Campaigning should not be about who has good ads.

  • 3. national single payer health care.

without either of the first two, the third is threatened. without both, the third is doomed to be repealed.

  • .......if the so called private interests win out then business will continue as usual. but if some sort of government health care eventually wins out, and public option and co-ops are a foot in the door, a sort of domino effect for health insurance, then the biggest insurance providers will win even bigger because now instead of having to rely on premiums and regular costs they will have tax payer dollars at their disposal courtesy of the government, insuring profit and longevity.

  • It's called Polyarchy and you can thank your beloved James Madison for that.

  • And why the hell is Gibbs wearing a pink tie?

  • I keep hearing talk about some phantom group of people holding up the health care bill. The Democrats have HUUUGGGE majorities. There's no need for any of this. There is NOTHING that could stop them. Just pass it. Go on, go on.

  • That "Phantom Group" is the insurance industry's best friend in congress, Max Baucus, and his piece of shit colleagues. They control whatever the Senate eventually comes up with and they want absolutely no reform whatsoever. The Senate can of course, tell them to fuck off and pass whatever it feels like, but no one is willing to, because Baucus would then be able to screw their personal legislation over.

  • In case none of you are interested in history but ARE interested in public execution, Louis XVI was beheaded for fucking up grain prices and attempting to flee the country after being removed from power over it.

  • Comment removed

  • LOL CarryANation. Feurzug is right too, he got that from Rasmussen Reports. If you want to know the truth on current events visit their site. And before you flame me, they are THE number one rated independent pollster and called the election for Obama closer than anyone on election night and throughout the election year. So don't shoot the messenger.

  • The numbers are telling the truth: 27% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-one percent (41%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -14.

  • You're right when you say they need to go it alone while they can. They have super majorities so they should start steam rolling right away. What are they waiting for?

  • The Democrats are waiting for their check from Wellpoint and Aetna.

  • Nancy Pelosi is PERSONALLY OPPOSED to the idea of a single payer health care system. so is Rahm Emmanuel. and so is Obama the backstabbing fuck. They don't want campaign funding from the insurance industry to go to republicans and they also don't want it to dry up their bribes. They are all dedicated to fucking us over for money and must all die.

  • @lionsmile

Dude, the republicans lost control of congress in 2006 so don't say things like they had control of congress from 1995 - 2008. They have not! They had a strong run from 1995 - 1999 when they kept around 55 seats. The senate was usually evenly divided under bush except for 2005 when they had 55 seats.

And you say they had congress and the presidency in 1995? I find that a dubious claim seeing as how clinton was president in 1995. Google congress balance of power, it's all there.

  • Some history for those who continue to blame the Republicans. They have had the senate for 20 out of the last 64 years. They controlled the house for a mere 14 of the last 64, and they've only had both houses on two occasions in recent decades. From 2003 - 2005 and 1995 - 1998. So they couldn't have possibly screwed up "the last eight years" as people repeat over and over. The dems had plenty of hands in it too.

  • That is not true entirely true. Republicans have had control over both Chambers of Congress from 1995 until 2008 except for one two year period from 2001 to 2003 when the Democrats had 50 Senators vs. Republicans 49. That is 14 years of almost complete Republican control of Congress. Democrats may have had a hand in things but not much because they didn't have control. Not to mention that for 4 of the last 6 years they had Congress and the Presidency. which hadn't happened since 1995.

  • I hear you Maguru. I didn't say the Dems didn't have problems, I just said they can pass whatever they want. They only ones in their way are themselves.

  • Damn yall comparing Obama to Bush? We got some dumb motherfuckers in this world.

  • good answer, gibb

  • Is the only place you get your info from fox news my god you fucking racist lemmings

  • I haven't watched fox in almost a decade except for clips on youtube and I know Obama is backstabbing everyone who voted him into office. He is a pathetic liar and should be impeached immediately.

  • Killing the messenger Mr Bobblehead?

  • haha! Man, if this isn't an endorsement of making sure this stupid plan fail, I don't know what is. The last thing we need is the government telling us what to do any more than it already does.

  • Gibbs & Barry know that by the time his term is up, we probably won't have elections anymore because we will be a dictatorship.

That's why Obama agreed to run in the first place. When George Soros of MoveON said "Do you want to be the new US dictator?" Obama thought Soros said "Do you want to be the new US Dick Taster?" so he said sure....

  • This administration makes me sick... so did the last administration for the last term.. but come on who put nafta in? who set up bush to fail...? clinton.... it started to to go to shit when he was done in office. Now we have This So called BLACK american president who doesnt know his ass from his face who cant prove he was born in the USA what the hell???!?!!? come on NOBAMA!!!!! Over through this pig Stand up with arms take control back!!

  • Do you reallyt think someone could get elected all the way to the presidency of of the United States and NOT be a US citizen? What Jerry Springer web site are you getting your information from? Get educated, you'll be a better american.

  • Do you really think That the SEC would investigate Mr. Madoff 12 years ago and find nothing "fishy" going on in his "organization"??? LOL

    ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!!!!

  • Who trained the Taliban in Afghanistan? George Bush Sr. sent CIA operatives to do so.

  • Just by the fact the democrats would be willing to immediately do things that would cause them to be tossed out is cause for alarm. Something keeps telling me that this isn't going to end well at all. If the American people do not stand up to this putz and get him and his groupies out of there now, we may not ever get them out. Well, we would get them out. Why should we be expected to lay down and give up everything we love, so mainly outsiders can come and steal all we worked for? We Shouldn't!

  • Immediatly?!? Health care reform has been brewing for decades, Along comes Obama and the gops shit in their pants. Has your paycheck cnanged one cent since Obama has been in office? Mine hasn't. Stop the fear/hate spweing.

  • of course hussein doesn't care about the poll numbers, he doesn't care about his official term either! he doesn't care about america and only has his international owners and bankers at heart.

nationalized banks, nationalized climate, nationalized auto industry, and now nationalized health care........of course he doesn't care if he gets a 2nd term HIS AGENDA IS ALMOST ALREADY COMPLETE and the people love it!

the dam sheep dont realize until its too late

  • You're thinking of Bush, get past your fear/hate.

  • excuse me? your twisted

bush could never pass what obama is passing in terms of nationalizing our countries failing companies............

you need to really do some research before you assume I need to get past anything. To understand the present you must study the past, BUSH is NOTHING

again BUSH IS NOTHING COMAPRED TO OBAMA! get your facts straight

  • They all know that they'll be thrown out in the street!

It's just a matter of how much they can cram down our throats between now and the midterm elections!

  • The sound bite that "the republicans screwed up the last eight years" is largely incorrect. The republicans lost the senate twice under Bush. Once when Jeffords went independent in 2002 and again when dems swept both houses in 2006.

When the republicans did have majorities they were marginal. Usually only one or two seats. Couple that with Bush being a lame duck for almost all of his second term and they really had nowhere near the power the dems have now.

  • Is he willing to go to jail for treason? How about the gallows? The federal government does not have the constitutional authority to impose socialism on the states, or to take control of 30% of your states private industry just because they want to. He swore an oath to protect and defend the constitution, and we make them swear an oath for a reason.

The constitution rules this land, not Obama.

Obama has lost the moral and constitutional authority to sign a bill into law. Impeachment NOW!

  • Then why was Bush allowed to pass the Patriot Act, violating the Fourth Amendment? Why was Bush allowed to declare war, then the Constitution states only Congress has that power?

  • I agree, Bush and Obama should both be tried for treason. Bush and Obama serve the same people and agenda.

    TREASON! We need grand juries!

  • We need a constitutional convention to create amendments which do the following:

    1. put congressional district apportionment in the hands of an impartial commission the way we do with political debates

    2. reform campaign finance law to make private contributions illegal

    3. create a single-payer health care funding system which is a near clone of the ones in england and france

all we need is 35 states to ask for it.

  • @yahoochatter

Um, what part of the last 4 years have you missed? The dems took congress back in Nov 2006. Bush was a lame duck since late 2005. What Republican stranglehold are you talking about? I'm afraid you are the deluded one my friend. Check some history and find out who is really in control of what right now. Dem majority in both houses is huge. They can pass anything they want right now, all they need is democratic unity. Do you get it yet?

  • Democratic unity turns out to be strongly on the side of continuing to receive money from health insurance conmen.

  • vsanta86, obama is not a centrist. if you look at his history and voting record he was the most left and partisan senator during his short time in the senate. in his autobiography he states he deliberately saught out marxist professors because he wanted to learn from them and those sorts of people were where he felt comfortable. he is the only senator who voted in favor of letting babies born alive after an abortion, die...when giving them medical treatement would have saved them.

  • Fuckin' racist propoganda swallowers! You're so hell bent on wanting Obama to fail you can't even see past your own hatred long enough to grasp the fact that you could benefit from his policies.

  • We benefit in no way from his allowing the pharmaceutical industry to fuck us up the ass and it actually harms us as a people to allow him to prolong theft by fraudulent insurance companies. He must die.

  • Wow! By reading some of these comments I didn't realize so many ignorant people were making over 6 figures a year. If I was making over 6 figures I certainly wouldn't waste my time leaving comments on YT, I'd prolly be on a wave runner or doing something fun on a Saturday. Unfortunately my high insurance premiums keep me in the poor house and reading comments left by backwards-ass Fox News watchers.

  • This has got to be the biggest cry baby president ever. When I was fighting Bush he never showed weakness. Not even when his polls slumped. Thats how we beat him in a way. There was no " Oh it's OK if I don't get a second term, *sob* It is what is best for the country". Sounds like my mom. " No, no you eat first... " Gilt trip.

He calls people names and cries when he doesn't get his way.

This guy would defiantly get picked last for a kick ball team at my school.

  • Money from pharmaceutical firms and health care companies is dirty, evil, and corrupting except when key members of Team Obama (Axelrod and family) are pocketing it.

And Dick Chaney and Haliburton where the bad guys......I laugh at all you fools.

  • Fuckin' A.

  • blaming any of the 2 parties is useless. Neither one has a polarizing message or a clear directive. Blaming one party is a way for the other to look good by comparison for the next election. republicans fucked up the last 8 years by betraying pubic trust and the democrats now are splitting over how far left they should be. Obama's trying to please everyone being the centrist he is but is looking weak in the process by not taking at least one solid stance. I think the answer is in compromise.

  • And this blame the republicans for everything excuse will not hold any water next year. In fact, it's pretty leaky now.

  • It is nowhere near 'leaky', you deluded piece of trash. The GOP have had a strangle-hold on this country for too long now and I will be so glad to see them demise.

  • Did yoy hear him at 0:45 he stammered there because he said "if he only lives...in this house" HE WAS THINKING THE PRESIDENT BEING ASSASSINATED O_O HOLY SHIT

that means you know these people know he might not live past his first term and it's doubtful if he has a second term he will survive that.

  • I have reported your comments to the relevent authorities.

  • Yes McSoustenfrugal, the Dems. The guys in charge of congress for the last three years. The guys with super majorities in both houses. The guys who have the white house. The guys who took a 500 billion budget deficit and tripled it with the stroke of a pen. The Office of Management and Budget released a report yesterday that projects Dem spending to be roughly 3.5 trillion next year with half of it borrowed. Or have you not been paying attention?

  • 2012 Presidential Election

The Ticket - Sean Hannity/Sarah Palin

Cannot be as bad as the Marxist who is suppose to be incharge along with Reid and Pelosi. After these 3 I like joe Biden, by the way anybody seen Joe?

Lets start by cleaning the house out in 2010. Either you are for America or your against it (didnt Bush say this at one time) America is tired and broke because of radicals/socialist/marxist/RINO's and just plain dumbasses who cannot read and are wee-wee'd up.

  • The sooner he's thrown out the better.

  • He may be willing to go one term, and we could all be so lucky. The question is, are the congressmen and woman willing to lose their seat for passing this socialist bill. America will go wild if they shove this through !! Liberals won't have a chance in the future. Does bankruptcy ring a bell ?? What fools !!

  • Wow...a president that is actually delivering what he promised. He is doing his part now we need to support him and not remain silent.

  • Can you name one time in the last six months he actually delivered on something?

  • You know, those six months where he gave unaccountable bilions of dollars to banks and auto makers, kept us in iraq, sent more men to afghanistan, kowtowed to republicans and oh yeah, let the pharmaceutical industry write his health care legislation?

  • Magurufukuru must be out of work

  • sounds like a setup queston but good all the same

  • You must be fucking blind. He is not doing anything right. He is a sham, it has all been contrary to what he was voted in on. Nothing he has done has been anywhere close to the principles on which he was entrusted to power. If he does end up being a one-term president, it's because he will have so thoroughly alienated his base that he will not even pass the next election's primaries.

  • The federal budget deficit for the end of the year is projected to be 3 times what it was this time last year. Hey, I know, let's get them to run the health care industry too. Especially since they managed the cash for clunkers thing so well. It actually lasted a few weeks before it was bankrupted. Oh well, the dems know what to do when that happens, fire up the money presses.

  • Dems? What about republicans?.... douche bag.

  • Eventually, The vast majority of people who've been raised with a pathological fear of anything labeled 'Socialist' are going to die off. However, I'd prefer not to wait that long for a sensible health care system.

  • By the way, if some of you are going to spout out history as a basis for your argument for Obamas health care reform at least know your facts. FDRs New Deal legislation did not save us from the great depression World War II did.

  • However correct you are about a bad political system you may be, "Democracy is the worst form of government except for all those others that have been tried." -Winston Churchill. I challenge you to find a better one. Don't discredit the noble efforts that are wasted on the government. Some people do care.

  • I'm not a history scholar with WW2 but as I recall yes, it was WW2 that helped pull us out of the great depression, but wasn't it the creation of many jobs by the US govt that helped boost production. Also the ramp up of military soldiers helped with the job effort also. Also the increase govt regulation on things like Nylon, in which the country had to cut back on, helped pull us out. So if anything, WW2 did bring us out, but it was the govt action that took place that REALLY helped us:-)

  • You guys are a bunch of sheep. You spout off what the Democrat party tells you to feel: Fox is bad; Republicans are evil; anyone who opposes health care reform is a dumb hillbilly. Is it any better that most of you only repeat what you hear your favored politicians say and never consider an opposing side? Give me one government entity that isn't bloated, bureaucratic, and wastes money like it's water. I personally think health care is too important to be run by the mess that is our government.

  • Heatlh care is so important that it needs to be run by greedy insurance companies?

    Really?

  • So basically you're saying that anything the govt does, it's bad? & the free market is PERFECT? based off your statement, you're an anarchist.

    EPA

    USGS

    Police

    Fire Fighters

    Post office

    Medicare/Medicaid

    United States Military

these are just a couple things that the US GOVT has done well with. Are they perfect? no, but they are good things that make this country great & strong. Also, finger pointing while you're calling "us" out, doesn't further your claim, it only makes you look like an idiot.

  • Obama has always been working for the american people. The only problem is that a large part of the American people are too dumb to realize it. I feel so bad for the people that keep calling him things that are so far from the truth as it can possibly get.. You just wait and see. When President Obamas first term is over, no one will be questioning wether or not he is working for the people or not.

You go, Obama! Yes you can :)

  • Can someone explain to me how Republicans are gaining political leverage with "Death Panels" when nobody believes it? I'm starting to believe the the Polls are bullsh*t! Especiallywhen Bush's numbers started creeping up before his second term. This country is soooo corny!!!

  • tmason, unfortunately a lot of people believe these things. Talk to rural America and you'll see, you'd be surprised. I spend a lot of time in rural north carolina and virginia, and for most of rural america all those rumors are fact. And they loved their Bush, they don't care about anything foreign, they're fine with things the way they are and the only news chanel is FoxNews to them. Good people, but that's how they see the world.

  • My Friend those "Rural American" you describing are what Bill Maher called "We american are getting stupid and fat" lol

Yes and that is true.. Fox shit their only sources of news

  • Exactly, and they vote too, and very often voting turnout among this group is higher than in the demographics that side with the Democrats.

  • I think that the president has to explain healthcare reform in extremely simple terms. I'm talking 2nd grade level explanation of healthcare reform. When these good people are confronted with these two explanations: "They're gonna save money by letting old people die" Vs. "market exchange,co-ops,public option,long-term this,short-term that, prevention this" they freak out, and they go with the one explanation that they can process, and see the other option as an attempt to fool them with words.

  • not everything in this world needs to be dumbed down in this world for the lowest common denominator. Let them freak out and do what needs to be done anyway.

  • maybe that's why Bush continued to under-fund American education. The more stupid Americans we have, the better of a chance Republicans could advance. I mean look at history since the creation of social security in America. You'll notice the SAME arguments are presented then and throughout history... and people believed it, but those things still passed, because people CARED about politics and the truth, only in the past 20 yrs, have we seen people become dumber. '94 & '09 healthcare debate.

  • This is exactly correct. A stupid population is much easier to govern because they won't question anything, they'll just defer to someone they believe to be more intelligent.

  • ENTER SARAH PALIN, where a good percentage of the population would vote for her. Now I have nothing against John McCain, if he ran with someone else, I think he would've been a stronger candidate, but with Sarah Palin on the ticket, I just don't understand HOW that many people still voted for THAT team? to finish my last comment. in '94 & '09 we've seen a enormous population of people who oppose health reform b/c of scare tactics. but like I said, in early days, ppl didn't fall for it.

  • Anyone who voted for Sarah Palin did so either because they're single-issue feminists or biblical literalists who actually want the apocalypse to take place.

  • I never could understand that? why would you pray for the end of the world? doesn't that defeat God's purpose for us to be here? doesn't he want us to live life? I'm agnostic for this reason, ppl are so deluded in what they believe regarding religion. It doesn't make sense. If one wants to have a debate between Obama/Palin's experience okay, but Palin has PROVEN herself not to be fit for public office... she's not even fit to be a greater at Walmart!

  • They're people dumb enough to believe in the idea of a god who gives people free will and then hates them for what they do with it and that when the apocalypse comes, the ones who believe they do what they think people interpreting the bible say they're supposed to do will be taken to heaven and everyone else will die in boiling seas and angelic fire falling from the sky. They are the most insane large group of people in America.

  • Well I agree with that to a great extent. Youre spot on on that one.

  • He gives free will and then gives us how to live life.

    for example:

No sex before marriage. Widespread disregard for this has led to bastards, diseases etc.

Been sober. Drunks ruining their lives, killing others, killin themselves.

Not been jealous. Jealous is usually a beginnin point for murders

Homosexuality been an abomination. Wanton prosmicuity in the homosexual community leading the wide spread diseases. General medical complications because of ANAL SeX.

  • Yeah, look how awesome the middle east is for practicing all these morals God tells us to abide by. They don't drink, don't commit adultery, and homosexuality is illegal, and so they have the best and most moral population in the world, right?

  • Trust me, Angelic fire does not need to destroy this world.

MAN has made what will destroy this world.

1 Nuclear warhead could destroy New York city. Russia has about 5000 or more.

    United States matches russia.

Ohh and to remind you the bombs are still facing towards the United States.

  • Obama is gonna be kicked out of office for not passing real healthcare reform. Here's what's gonna happen, in 2010 discouraged progressives, like myself, are not going to be motivated and many won't even show up to vote, the GOP is motivated and will become the majority. After that Obama becomes a lame duck. I'm starting to think that I made a mistake i supporting Obama over Hillary. This guy is so weak he is afraid he might offend the ones who openly say want him to fail. He should quit now !

  • But if he comes through, he is FDR -- who was elected to four terms, and was by far the most loved president of the 20th century, maybe the most loved, period.

  • FDR was not afraid to offend the opposition, like Obama is, and he faced a stronger opposition. Conservatives plotted to overthrow him and install a fascist government, and they couldn't. FDR did not apologize, he smashed the opposition and setup bank regulations that kept us recession free until Nixon/Ford. Maybe I should be more positive and give him more time to see what happens, but so far, weakness is all I see. More Carter than FDR really.

  • I completely agree with you. Obama needs to drink whatever brand of whiskey FDR was drinking.

I loved Carter. I voted for him twice. He was a prophet. And if we had continued in his energy policies, we would be self-sustaining today, with no Saudi, Iraqi, or Iranian oil. And, of course, he is a great American saint, beloved around the world, for his post-presidency accomplishments. But he should have fought harder -- as you say. He was too much of a centrist.

    PUSH OBAMA LEFT!!!!

  • ENERGY EFFICIENCEY=Govt takeover & destruction of jobs.

HEALTHCARE REFORM=Govt takeover & wants to control how you live & who lives & dies.

DEMOCRATIC MAJORITY=FASCISM (even though in the US we have a democracy & the PEOPLE voted for the majority)

AFFIRMATIVE ACTION=Reverse discrimination against the white man(even though it historically gives disadvantaged minorities an equal opportunity in a workplace that has been dominated by one race/religion/gender or sexuality)

why do we listen to Repubs?

  • Right on erau.

  • While I'm not as bitter as you towards him I do agree that he need to kick a little more butt. I know why he's doing it, to try to mend the division in this country. It's a noble cause but it's obvious to me that it's not going to happen. Time to get on without the other side while we can.

  • I hope the bastard's willing to be the first jail term president. He better come up with some I.D. If America is attacked by Islamic terrorist while this fonyfuck & his sursf are trying to bang the nation, he will be on his way to lock down with all his Mooslim bros.

  • US dollar = 0 value

Patriots dying in the sandbox for nothing

  • If Obama and the Dems were to ACTUALLY pass a meaningful healthcare reform initiative including a Public Option or, dare I say, a Single Payer Universal Medicare Option, AND they made it active IMMEDIATELY, Obama would have 2-3 years of a working health reform program that would GUARANTEE his victory by winning the hearts of the Liberals who voted for him in '08. By taking Single Payer off the table and being limp on Public Option, Obama has lost some of his luster with Libs who elected him.

  • SOME? If this goes down and we don't have a public option, he'll lose all of it and have stabbed us in the back. I say we use that congressional majority and impeach this lying cocksucker.

  • We Need A Public Option. I am glad the President is working for us and not simply trying to maintain his position.

Anyone who wants to be more educated when it comes to the facts regarding health care please visit the comment section of my profile. There you will find lots of information and resources as well as ways in which you can get more involved.

  • He's not working for us anymore, that much is obvious. Look at what he's doing in congress. He's playing along with republicans instead of dominating them. he has sold us down the river for the approval of industry money and he needs to fucking die for it.

  • Wow.. LOL That's a bit extreem don't you think? You are wrong about Obama.. You should expect the unexpected.. mark my words it is just a matter of time and we will have a Public Option Plan and it is comming much sooner than you think.

  • Well you're WRONG. Not one time has Obama been the inscrutable chessmaster you believe he is. He is a giant lie. We will not get a public option so long as that disingenuous piece of shit is in office.

  • Gimme a Break!

He's in the Presidency to be famous - And has dreams of his name in all the history books for saving America

  • how about, he stop the downward free fall of the market, he pass the credit card reform into law. He passed the equal pay law for women. Childrens health initiative. All in less than 200 days and now he is going to pass health care. OBAMA!!! BUSH= bush tax cuts and cut education spending and didnt finance no child left behind, started war from speculation, wrote a bill not allowing price negotiations with medicine companies all in 8 years. Real good.

  • You are an Obamabot. Do you know how the government works? What did he do to stop the free fall? I am sorry if you were missing some chomosomes when you were born.

  • lol you talking bout the same free fall that fundamental Republicans/ Conservatives policies created... Open your eyes you fool!

The day of the GOP playing both sides of the fence is over! The American public know that your snake oils saleman and that your only reason in politics is to keep the nation wealth in the hands of a smalll group of elites.

  • IIIJHUSSLEIII,

You do understand that "New World Order" is 3 words right?

Learn how to count and then I may listen to your point.

  • ahahahahahahaha, message fail. 1 word doesn't equal 3,

  • Haha, "1 word"?!?!

New World Order = 3 words

    Dumbass

  • "lives" was a poor choice of words. I would rather he said "holds office".

But it is nice to see a president who puts the good of the nation above his own personal ambitions. We haven't seen that in a long long while.

  • Whatever bitches, i'm voting for Obama in 2012. The way i see it, these would have been difficult times for any president, and i'm very happy that Obama is the man making decisions right now. There's nobody i'd rather have, he still has my vote.

  • come on 2012

  • we hope so

  • "...means that he only 'lives' in this house and makes those decisions for four years"

  • I'd buy this argument more if Obama was pushing for a public option. He's not.

  • can't say this with 100% certainty but how is he not pushing for a P.O.? Howard Dean made a claim, Tues on Morning Joe, that they would take out the P.O. just to get the votes through the senate & when it gets to the house, add in a public optionesc proposal & then right before Obama signs the bill the white house will add in the P.O. That plan can't work if Obama is gung ho about the P.O. that only gives away the surprise at the end. So by public view, it looks like he's not fighting

  • You could be right, but that seems like an unnecessary move considering there's the reconciliation option and enough Democratic votes to pass it in the Senate. Unless the "blue dog" senators pussy out, they should be able to pass it regardless.

But if that really is the plan, it's a little backhanded. As much as I want to see a public option, it's kinda dirty to not give a house of congress a say in the matter. I wouldn't want to see the next Republican president pulling tricks like that...

  • here's the thing, the reconciliation option, is ALREADY being demonized by the right and gives the idea that it's a abnormal thing that the Dems are doing, a desperate attempt and some have called it fascism. You and I both know, that reconciliation is a normal tactic in govt. Fox News has been 100% against this idea and in their attempt has (with no doubt) persuaded their viewers into believing that this is a bad thing. Obama is setting a precedent but I hate doing this, what did the Repubs..

  • ... do to the dems during the Bush Administration? the did everything they could to stop dems from doing ANYTHING. Repubs set precedent for this type of action. What's sad about all this is when you watch the MSM you realize that they drive public opinion. Even the "liberal" media drives opinion, but not in the right direction. It looks like Obama is failing and what does for ex. MSNBC do? they pose questions that insight doubt in THE PEOPLE WHO VOTED FOR HIM.

  • Now, I'm not saying they shouldn't ask these questions. I'm just saying, that what they do is dwell on this issue for days and weeks when the important issues aren't being discussed... like the facts and what's actually being done. I'm not saying that for ex. MSNBC SHOULD support Obama 100% but they spent a 2 weeks on the birther issue, birthers are no different than conspiracy theorist who don't believe in 911 or the moon landing. When they could've been on H-care disproving the lies.

  • Very good analysis. In fact, it seems strange that MSNBC just now decides to run all these stories about our former administration's abuse of power, the wiretapping, the cases of torture by our troops being covered up, the politicization of the Dept of Homeland Security, and the known faulty evidence that led us into Iraq. Is it me or are they trying to make the former administration's failings stick to Obama? They should have been reporting on those things while they were happening.

  • As much as I agree with you, I also have to add, only a few commentators on MSNBC were reporting some of those claims you mentioned like Keith Olbermann. But unfortunately, Olby was demonized by the right in being "far-left" when he was reporting some of these things, but people didn't listen. I remember a USAtoday poll in 2005 which said that a majority of Americans believed that Iraq was involved in 911... that showed a failure in the American media and they've done it again on healthcare.

  • Hard to believe that's true.

  • Ah, Steven, how sad. When the brains were given out, you were missing in action.

    Putz.

  • sry I don't have any brains. I guess I need to one understand why socializing health care is a good thing. I guess I need brains to understand why he went from calling it Health Care reform to Insurance reform. I guess I need brains to understand why our government is wanting to start up a major program when they can't even keep the smaller ones from becoming broke...wait. What kind of brain did you get?

  • because healthcare reform IS insurance reform. It's the insurance companies that's causing the major issues in the healthcare industry. You can't reform healthcare without looking at the insurance companies...

  • It takes a particularly dirty man to lie like that. The Democratic party is going down in flames as we speak. That bill isn't going to get passed, then the conservatives take the house and senate in2010 and then we revolt and return the government to is founding priciples, and give all the libs a one way ticket to their utopia that exists in china or east europe.

  • One should not contradict one's self in subsequent statements.

First you say it is a lie that Obama is not making decisions for the benefit of getting re-elected. Then you say the Democratic Party is going down in flames.

If anything, your assertion that the Dems are going to pay for what they are trying to do with health care proves it isn't a lie and he honestly believes this will help the American people.

Try using logic and reasoning instead of fallacious demagoguery.

  • right on,what fool's these liberal ass/hole's are.
