  • I think you mean that Klaus was faking his anger for appearances and that he was always a well-respected actor. I agree.

  • @ColonelFain, yes, correct. He was in the lunatic asylum in younger years though. Herzog quoted him "Ich bin nicht mehr" which indeed means "I am not (alive/lifely..) anymore". Yes, he played a role somehow, threw his steaks onto the hotel´s band when they played stuff he didn´t order or like. :D But he often asked the make-up-artists at talk shows behind the stage "How was I/my scene?", so 50% mad and real anger and 50% role play. But 101% talent. :)

  • "Ich bin nicht mehr" klingt schwer nach Sinnkrise, heute unter Burnout geführt.

Trotzdem der in der Times am höchsten angesehene deutsche Schauspieler.

Hinter der Bühne wird er oft zitiert "wie war ich?", also alles keine Neurotik, sondern echter Ärger bzw. viel Show.

  • @whity72 - Sorry, I can't read German, but the Google translation is "'I am no longer' sounds difficult crisis of meaning, led today by burnout. Nevertheless, the highest in the Times respected German actor.Behind the stage, he is often quoted, 'as I was?', So everything does not neurotic, but a lot of real anger or show." . . . I'll check with a German friend and have it translated correctly, however. Thank you for your comment!
